Anyone know where I can get an M16 length inner barrel?

So upon installing my new receiver, I had to remove the steel nut on the buffer tube. After an hour of extreme torquing and holding in a flame for several minutes before being immersed in liquid nitrogen and the process being repeated. I even tried freezing it in liquid nitrogen and smashing it on concrete to no avail. I finally resorted to dremelling it off with a metal cutting disk and after breaking through it actually popped showing how stuck on it was.
She lives on: (Thanks Loco <3)

Doesn't the buffer tube holds only with a set screw under it?

Saberwing May 14th, 2011 18:07

Theres a steel nut that holds the brass inner tube to the receiver. Mine was on so tight when I cut through it actually popped off slightly.

audi_bhoy May 14th, 2011 20:06

I tought you were talking about the outer tube, the brass tube actually screws in the lowwer body if I remember correct, that's what you had to cut?

I got to say Thanks to HKp30 for the pic's on the grub screw hopup mod. I did this mod and tried it out this weekend and I am very impressed which doubled my range. I installed the ratech TB barrel and hopup rubber hoping that it would give me more range and bb contact but it still was disgusting and didnt improve. Even with the hopup on to the max you couldnt see the nub when looking throught the barrel. But the grub screw mod is awesome and the the ability to fine tune hopup adjustment amazing night and day difference. I can overhop .30's so easy now and I might try some heavy weights.

Hop up problem

Hi
I don't understand why, but my adjustment for the hop up can barely move (15 degrees angle rotation max) since I bought it. The fact is I just have a sligtly effect for the BB but surely not enough for standard effect. I don't know why it's so tight to adjust it. I unscrewed the hop up screw, a little bit, but I just got 5 degrees rotation angle more and a woobly wheel. so I screwed it back

I have this problem since I bought it, but now my first game is coming and I would like to increase the hop up effect.

Sorry for my bad english, but thanks if you help.

The hop-up adjustment is usually quite hard and requires a bit of use to break it in. It shouldn't be wobbly. Check that your Hop-up base isn't broken and make sure the screw is tight.

As for increasing the hop-up effect, try wrapping a piece or two of heatshrink around your hop-up arm. It will allow you to over-hop 0.28g BB's easily.

Any tips on how to keep the trigger assembly pins in? The one holding my hammer has slid out twice already when firing...

Eeyore May 16th, 2011 19:21

There are fake anti rotation pin kits. In your case it might actually work.
