The group that we play with is located in the St.Johns Metro area, Just go over to the Game section of the fourm and find the Atlantic area.

Oh thats actually awesome! If you mind I have a few questions for you. First of all, what area of St. John's do you actually play in, how many people play (average age) and where do you guys get your guns too?

I'm pretty sure DPM would be decent in dark areas but for bright ones it has too much dark colors. It's vice versa for M84.
Flecktarn might be too dark for bright are actually... I have flora in my collection this pattern might work well here.

Whats your opinion on tigerstripe?

Danke August 26th, 2010 01:21

I've worn some 80s tigerstripe out here with similar trees/moss and I was pretty happy wiith it. I wouldn't go desert though.

Thats what I was going to say lol :P

Id don't know why, but im starting to kind of dislike Flecktarn. Ive heard that when it faids it looks pretty bad and doesn't work as well. Although marpat and tigerstripe look excellent! Ill probably decide between those two. Which one is generally cheaper? Sure I could always have a mix of the two!

Great, now I have camo dyslexia!

Specific camo patterns aside...

Check out how the teams at local games are usually split up. Many tend to go digital vs. analog...or brown/other vs. green...etc... So if there's specific guys who tend to shoot with, wear what they're wearing if you want to all be on the same team.

I've found it's handy to have at least one green setup...and one brown/other setup.

I tend to run more brown/other....with multicam (ghey but it gets used now and then), 3 colour (some milsims separate teams by US Camo vs. Other), Flecktarn (which is really good in those dead pine needle/dirt forest floors...late fall..etc).

For greens...US Woodland (again for milsims), Green DPM (works really, really well from spring to fall).

Same with rigs...I have a tan/khaki setup and a green setup.

No digital though...but if I had to buy one today I'd get MARPAT. Not quite as "shockingly" green as CADPAT.

Don't have any Russian stuff...but their patterns rock too.

Makes sense. Right now im running a mixture of US woodland Jacket and a set of old CADPAT pants which im soon going to have to replace because the knees are starting to go along with the rear-end hahaha. I might just get US woodland pants to go with the jacket, those are plentyful and generally are pretty cheap. Its either those or tigerstripe id say, depending on the price of course. Might even consider MARPAT, not sure yet though.
