I actually did read the whole thing and it hurt my head.

You're reading hostility into posts where there is none. You are worked up about feelings of persecution where there is none. You are making suppositions about people's intent which are paranoid in a thread that is about physically manifesting your paranoia amd feelings of persecution.

If you are indeed in danger on a daily basis, you should be seeking aid from law enforcement and attending reputable self defense classes. Going straight to the internet for advice on building a toy soldier-based cutting board stab vest to wear under your clothing during your day-to-day is either an adolescent rage fantasy or pure coo-coo wackadoodle.

Please seek help and guidance on this issue with real law enforcement officers, trainers, and/ or mental health professionals. Talk to your doctor. You may not be in a healthy place right now.

Take 22nd, problem solved?

pugs144 January 20th, 2016 14:26

But if he takes 22nd then he won't have a chance to put his cutting board fabrication skills to use. Let's be rational here.

If you get jumped and have that armor on, is that lawyer going to be with you at all times? Is he going to save you from prosecution by LEO?
The fights you win are the fights you are not in

To me, you starting to sound like a irresponsible conceal carry holder from the states, "I carry a pistol and body armor on me at all times! Every person that twitches makes me nervous and I reach for my gun!"

I haven't posted on forums for a looong time and I forgot how some people think by conversing with one another like an egotistical yet ignorant bafoon is how people keep up their online persona's. Everyone's gotta try and sound witty yet insultingly arrogant at the same time..

Sorry but you can't be serious.

OKAY, EVEN IF YOU MADE YOUR OWN STAB-PROOF VEST, YOU STILL HAVE TO CUT IT YOURSELF WHICH IS STUPID BECAUSE IF YOU CAN CUT YOUR OWN VEST THAT MEANS IT'S NOT STAB PROOF.

DIY Body armor: 0

Seriously though, I'm in the law enforcement/security field and I can understand that you DO NOT skimp on quality when it comes to protection. I'm absolutely certain that 100% of people on ASC would recommend the same thing about eye protection when they're out playing. Some of these goggles people recommend are resistant to .22 LR, whereas all you need is just some PC glass for plastic pellets.

Now, the REALLY SERIOUS QUESTION: are YOU wearing the stab-proof vest, or is your GIRLFRIEND going to wear it? Because if i'm your boo and we're out in the hood and we're doing netflix and chill and you tell me to wear body armor i'm fucking out of there. Either you're into some REALLY REALLY kinky shit or you think i'm into gang bangers, and not the fun kind!

I dare you to ask the same question on Canadian Gun Nutz. I dare you.

OP should have gotten AV'd so he can read the trash bin and realize that stupid threads don't get locked on OP's request...

You already made up your mind, why are you here? Unless you just wanted to show off your brilliant idea...

My recommendation is to either go through a safer route, or, if you can't, go through the regular route FASTER. If you drive, drive faster. If you walk, stop being a fatass and jog/run through that area. If you bus, what's the problem?

A stab proof vest will only protect your torso while also slowing you down. Stabbing attacks are never 1 solid hard stab in 1 weak point, they are almost always a rapid succession of medium/light powered stabs to cause as much trauma to the body as possible. Do you really believe that someone who lightly stabs at your vest will not realize they can't penetrate it after one or two tries and then just go for your neck, arms, legs, and face? These attacks happen in seconds, you'd be dead before you know it, vest or no vest. Look at Israeli news right now. There have been HUNDREDS of stabbings of innocent people, including those who wear body armor. If armored ex-IDF can't defend themselves on the streets with better equipment and training than you, then you can't do it either.

ThunderCactus January 20th, 2016 15:52

Dunno why everyones delving so hard into details.
Ballistic kevlar doesn't protect very well against knife attacks. Contrary to what you might think.
You need a purpose built stab vest to protect against stabbing and slashing. Ballistic kevlar is not the same thing.

Anyway that being said, its just as dangerous to get stabbed through an arm or leg or neck as it is in your torso.
Whether you get stabbed in the carotid artery, or liver, or femoral artery, your chances of survival would be slim even if you got stabbed in the emergency room at the hospital.
The only person who wins in a knife fight, is the person who isnt IN the knife fight.

BioRage January 20th, 2016 15:55

You could carry an airsoft pistol and flash them,

Else if they come near you, you can pew pew pew, but then you're gas might vent out or your hopup might not be adjusted.. , and the you die.
