I heard it was the black ones that crapped out, haha. But I believe the red and the blacks are identical exept the materials they are made of and the red ones are supposed to be sturdy. I'll let you know when I get to a few thousand rounds, that maybe another couple years.

Mind you, it IS only $360...

there are many reviews on JG guns which mostly states the internals are fine its just minor cosmetic defects most of the time. (ie. loose front end, fixed by tightening the screw. a scuff here and there etc)

i'm so jealous that you guys get to be on that order haha.

Im sure hes got more comming in, we just happen to be at the right place at the right time, atleast with ours you can get all the details first, cause theres bound to be some juicey talk once one of us gets theirs.

yeah i missed the train, so i'm gonna hop on as soon as another order commences. let us know how the order goes, in 3 weeks time.

Hopefully mines here in 2 or 3 more days, if not tomorow. But well its Canada post so for all I know, probly a few more days.

although jg might have good internals, 80% of them have plastic bodies. where as dboys has metal or steel bodies making tham easier to work with because your not peranoid about cracking the gun while your working on getting it open.
all im saying is that you can work with the dboys guns a lot easier.

TokyoSeven January 14th, 2008 13:12

Yeah but then you would go to bed every night owning a dboys and Im just not ok with that.

Just because its got more metal doesnt mean its better. Your Dboys maybe metal and you may think its the greatest thing ever. Good for you but please stop parading around these forums claiming its a god given gift to airsoft. Dboys is at best a low to midgrade company even in the states, and if they are considered low/midgrade in the USA we consider them even lower grade in Canada.

The reciever on my TM M4 RIS is plastic, its been plastic for over 3 years. Ive fielded it many times, been shot in the gun many times, its been opened many times, upgraded and downgraded without any issues.

You cant line up a ford festia next to a volks wagon and say its better.

sorry

However, TokyoSeven, its not always the case that TM is better than D-boys.
Yes, I agree with you that TM is better than D-boys in STOCK form. However, if you like to do projects on your AEG, D-boys is indeed a better buy.
I have owned both a G&P and D-boys M4A1. G&P (which copies mostly from Marui) is a good stock gun, but I uss my D-boys to most airsoft games instead. I have swapped most of my gearbox internals (except the gears, tappet plate and nozzle) for Guarder, Systema and Prometheus reinforced internals, and it now outshoots almost every Marui guns (I conducted the test with TM M4 S-system, M16A2, G-36C, and AUG), while the price is just slightly more expensive than the guns listed above in stock form.
If you like a good stock gun, I have no problems recommending a TM, G&P or an ICS M4A1 to you, but if you really want a project gun, D-boys is a better buy.

Yea, but at that point it's no longer a DBOYS gun ;)

Oh, and in case you didn't realise, the last post on this thread before yours was nearly a year ago.
