I either have or have had most of the guns that are being discussed. I didn't read the entire thread that thoroughy, but I think you may have missed the M2 gas carbine, which is an absolute hoot.

The 8mm gas garand is a great replica but it has a small clip that pops out when you are finished firing that would be easy to loose which makes it iffy for fielding. You can also get a kit to convert an M14 into a Garand from a number of different sources.

The M3A1 Grease Gun is also a lot of fun. The weight is strange and it shakes like an epileptic, but that is just realism. With the upgraded spring and inner barrel it is not half bad. Just don't expect long range accuracy.

The Thompson tends to be the AS workhorse for WWII allied guns.

Damn near impossible unless you order through a retailer and pay the 300% or more markup :D

Orphus Socom

I recently purchased an After Math Orphus Socom which is close to the look of the M-14. I'm realatively new to soft air and an old phart to boot. I trained with the M-14 back in the early 1960's when I was in the military.

I'm extremely pleased with the Orphus Socom. Accurate right out of the box and after plinking with it 2 to 3 times a day in the back yard I have had no problems to date with it. I would like to find more information on it, like a schematic would be nice. It came with a minimal amount of instructions and very little useable information. If anyone has an info they could pass along, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

hehe i thought you were talking about a site that claimed to make ww2 airsoft guns here in Canada.... that was a good joke for bout a month...who was it that almost bought a gun from them and kept getting pic updates???

back to the site..as i play a german (cause i think it camoflauges me perfect where i play) i saw this and thought it was funny...

Do your homework, be proactive, this is a very friendly environment, None of the bitter politics that is sadly associated with the Blank firing reenactment communities. That means don't go to the boards to start fights, if you do, you will be banned instantly. Use common sense. Be a good sport, and remember, WW2 is OVER! The people who reenact German soldiers are NOT racist supremacists hell bent on ruining the world. WE DO NOT ALLOW RACIST OR MILITANT IDEOLOGY IN OUR ORGANIZATION!

whats funny is that the german team here in windsor shows up in a VW jetta hehe

edit: found the thread....

I've been eyeing this thing since I started playing WaW.

Too bad the mechbox is an AGM.

SGS Custom Airsoft PPSH-41

C'mon people isn't it SEXY!?

If only there was a GBB version :(

OKAY fine it's not U.S. but still WWII :D

Amos March 4th, 2009 19:29

Oh my god. I want a PPSH badly...

But... I'm not buying anymore airsoft guns... lol I'm almost over the bug... (yea right.)

I'm wondering for a while now. Why the hell there is no mass produced PPSH AEG. That thing can be used for WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Insurgent, hell, even Russian mob :) and a bunch of other impressions.
aZn_triXta07, AGM mechbox is not that bad, my MP40 works fine. I don't like the idea of using build-in hicap but otherwise it looks like a great gun. Too bad price tag is high.

G.I. Joel March 4th, 2009 20:55

that's pretty badass, they even sell the conversion kit themselves for the DIY in all of us!

pipefitter316 March 4th, 2009 21:24

no the grease gun was american it was a simple easy to make weapons that was mass produced like the british sten gun.
it called the m3.

aZn_triXta07 March 4th, 2009 21:39

Yeah it's really pricey. I remember a local here built one out of a de-activated one I think, it was a few years back it was so NICE I fell in love with the PPSH 41 there.

Yeah the built-in hicap is a turn off, there is a classic kit floating around for it but there's a hose from the gun to the mag so changing mags would be inconvenient.
