Sweet gun, but chances are you will never see it if it goes through customs.

I have been thinkign about the customs business, and i thought maybe since I've discovered it it extremely hard to find a quality gun down here, air soft just isn't as huge as one might think. So i thought to my self what if i were to go to a retailer with a BFL license and ask the owner to special order it for me and pay little extra for his troubles. sure id be paying for more then what i could normally get but at least id get it for a slight inflation cost rather then risking a criminal record. is this sound thinking or just childish non-sense?

And thanks for the info on the fact that i can go play if i wanted, but i think first i'm gonna have to save some money up and get the stuff i need before i start play haha otherwise i'll get owned :)

I have been looking around i read the FAQ's and i used the search engine to find similar posts. i didn't find what i wanted so now i feel it necessary to post a thread.

seeing how your 17, why not just wait till your 18 like many others? Then you can meet up with a local age verifier and use the kick-ass classifieds here on ASC! Plus by that time hopefully, you will have enough dough to buy a wicked ass gun for your first AEG.

If you can get one, I highly recommend a CA M15 of whatever flavour. Externally, they're about as good as they come with a kickass metal body and super-solid externals. I hear internals are a bit hit-or-miss, but usually the problem (piston & head, tappet plate, spring guide) are all cheap and plentiful and easy to replace.

My rifle is an absolute killer all around. It's had some minor internal upgrades (bearing spring guide, Systema silent piston / cylinder head, tappet plate), but not till it had 20 000 rounds put through it stock. None of the stock internals showed any wear other than the tappet plate after all the use (I thought the internals would be worn to shit).

I recently added a tightbore and it's a tack-driver now. It got me some nice kills at the last game - all 50-ish foot ranges through thick brush (described as "bush as thick as 70s porn"). I wouldn't trade this gun for anything, even a PTW.

As AEG's are not firearms, a Business Firearms License will do you no good. Why would he jeopardize his business to help some child import a replica firearm?

Crunchmeister August 10th, 2008 20:45

A BFL by itself does not necessarily grant the holder the right to import prohibited items. And those that do hold BFLs that allow prohibited items can only import them for the purpose of use in film / TV / theatrical productions. They don't grant the license holder the right to sell the items.

Dude, there are people here that have been into airsoft since you were still shitting in your diapers. If it was that easy to get stuff in the country, trust me, others would have thought of it before you.

I read on the FAQ's in the importing thread, that in order to receive a replica firearm you either take the risk or try and get a BFL license, which is stupid to go and try and get one since u need to own a registered business in order to be able to receive a BFL. so i thought since the store i was thinkign of was already sold firearms and pellet guns there would be no affect to his business since he has the proper license to import such items in which case i would then consult him to see if he'd be willing to do a favor not to his total loss.

by the way please don't treat me like shit when i'm just trying to figure my way through this just explain it to me like a normal human being not shit that is under your shoe i don't appreciate it and no one else does either.

Crunchmeister August 10th, 2008 20:50

step 1 learn to wait
step 2 attend or spectate a game so you can meet players in your area (you dont need a gun to talk to people)
step 3 goes hand in hand with step 2 make friends in your community now so people know who you are when you turn 18
step 4 turn 18
step 5 AGE VERIFY
step 6 spend yourself into the poor house
step 7 ???
step 8 profit?

first 3 worked for me they can work for you too
