Could be stating the obvious.

But the British adopted the Czech designed weapon as their squad automatic weapon in the early thirties, hence the similarities.

Looks like one of those blaster rifles from Star Wars.

The basic Star Wars blaster rifle was built on the Sterling submachine gun.

Boyso March 24th, 2012 10:20

The Sterling is quite different from the FG42 :P

Many WW2 guns were transformed for video games. Thompson -> Alien Pulse rifle, the starwars blasters, the MG34 in another movie I forgot the title, etc.

Strelok March 24th, 2012 14:17

The mg34 was also the stormtrooper rifle in StarWars. Hans Solo used a modified C96 for his blaster.

The 'Smart gun' (Big shoulder mounted MG in Aliens) was a modified MG42.

at least, there is no shell :) nor there is a 15 round high-cap or a mag with a little tiny rope so it could be promising.

We should ask to clarify on this - does this mean 4.5 or 5.5 rounds? :)
On another note - I like how M1891/44 changed it's appearance from the carbine with folding bayo into the proper rifle :)

The 91/44 is a carbine though....not a rifle...

That's what I'm saying, strange they use carbine name.
