So I received my Viva Arms ZF41 marksman scope the other day. Build quality I'd give it an 8/10. Was pretty impressed with the stampings and finish on it. The adjustable sunshade on it was a nice touch too. The lack of a windage dial is a little disappointing but that was minor compared to what happened next.

I'm not sure if they sized the mount off of a Tanaka, Real steel or a D-Boys, but the mount on the scope came no where near to the size of the mounting rail on the Tanaka. Needless to say that I was quite pissed off. Now I have to take it to a machine shop and get them to size it to the same dimensions as the Tanaka ZF41.

You should ask around, there's a Kar98 on the classified with the ZF41 mounted on it right now.

I do have the Tanaka version as well, which isn't nearly as nicely done as the VA scope. They've done a nice job on the Tanaka scope compared to the horrendous job on their D-Boys version I had seen done on a previous review here on ASC.

Not sure yet about this one. Tanaka mags are super expensive. And that stock color is just awful.

Zeta-Lab Kar98k CNC Hop-up chamber for AF/Tanaka/G&G 98k

You can now use VSR 10 barrels/buckings with this think. And replace the cheapo plastic chamber of the Tanaka.
