i would have loved to have been a fly on the wall, during that corporate decision.

I wonder where the dissatisfaction comes from in terms of KWA - overly-extended development and release cycle, inadequate capacity of supply for demand, and an overall marketing misjudgement of the true forecast numbers - which leaves KRISS not benefiting from maximum licensing profits, and unhappy potential customers playing a waiting game. Several movies out in the past few years featuring the KRISS Vector brand, and no ready airsoft gun out to capitalize on this in this market?

An AEG is also mentioned - was this not in development at KWA.. again also with an overly-extended development cycle?

I'm calling it now. TM is going to get it. The timing of there announcement for something new is no coincidence. Kriss knows TM's a quality brand that has been involved with Airsoft from the beginning.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

Maybe off topic of the current news but this is an interesting bit about KWA Kriss vs Real Steel:

This termination affects all current and future KRISS airsoft projects, including the popular KRISS Vector SMG GBB and upcoming AEG version.

KRISS Arms will also be actively pursuing any infringements of its patents and trademarks worldwide, including unauthorized manufacturing and distribution of KRISS product replicas.
As part of its strong commitment and support to the Milsim and professional training community, KRISS Arms will be seeking for new innovative partners in the airsoft industry to market its current and upcoming airsoft products.

You better hope your KWA KRISS never breaks down and need parts. They are stopping "unauthorized manufacturing and distribution of KRISS product replicas" that would include parts.

Even if they try they won't be able to stop everything, just look at Magpul....

ThunderCactus April 19th, 2013 09:40

That doesn't say they're dropping KWA. And even if they do it sounds like there will be another GBB version to replace it, from a different manufacturer. So again, the airsoft Kriss is not going away. And even if KWA stays on board, the last part can easily mean that KWA simply won't be doing the AEG version.

Good news fomr an administrator on the KWA forums.

"Guys, we will be restocking the parts for the product soon, and we will have continued product support.

We are also trying to get more H&K parts in, so don't worry about that. MP7 CQB bolts are on order and we should be able to get them still. Just waiting on the factory to make another production run. "

But also bad news rom Allizard (it seems former KWA employee)

"Nope... KWA is done. They can no longer produce and distribute the GBB Vector. Nor the AEG version that's in the work since last year. I know.... I was there.

Perhaps a better question should be asked "What did Yih Kai (KWA's manufacturer and owner) have done to ###### off Kriss?"

There is not much more I can say publicly at this moment. But I will say this.... what they did, not only cause one person to quit US office. More than HALF of KWA staffs in US have QUIT their job. Think about that.

must be slave drivers. I know of a few companies like that
Good outside rep but treat their employees horribly

SuperHog April 19th, 2013 11:19

Maybe Ares is going to make the KRISS so it can be a wall hanger.

ThunderCactus April 19th, 2013 11:56

HA!
Should put that on a plaque

I know. But they have pretty big distribution. From Kriss' point of view, I don't think they see it as "bleugh", but more like "okay they can do gbb and aeg and have big distribution."

Like I said before, something's not right with KWA.
