... well.. crap.. maybe i should have done some more research. I just bought an Echo 1 E90 from East coast Airsoft ~_~. Well i guess I'll post if it goes through or not. But judging from everything i read from this thread it most likely isn't and i'm going to get screwed for it.

Btw emailed them about it and this is what they responded with:

"To answer your first email; If an item gets seized ,it is gone. There is no recourse. I have shipped 400+ orders and have had two seized. So the odds are that it won't happen. If you don't like the odds, you can purchase insurance. For 25% of the cost of the item,in your case $40, I will GUARANTEE the item not getting seized. That means I will give you a refund if it happens. I don't think insurance is necessary, but we offer it if you feel that you need it."

Wow. When will places learn that smuggling is not a good business model?

Seriously, DON'T post if it gets through, as that will just be your lucky day but all sorts of noobs will think that it's proof that that shit site has a secret method (which aside from blowing the customs dudes there is no way they could period)

yeah your right. Oh well, either way i'm never gonna take a risk like that anymore. Still hope i didn't pay to buy an E90 for the guys in customs to play with ~_~. whether or not i get my AEG i ordered i'm sticking to A/V + Classifieds for my black AEGs. @.@

Wow dude. It seems like he's always changing his seizure rate statistics. I have no proof of this however I do believe he was saying numbers between 1 and 5 and keeps changing it. And charging for seizure "insurance"? Seems like a bit of a cash grab to me. If he's asking for "insurance" then that reduces his credibility/integrity by a hundred times at least (as if he had any in the first place).

If you can I would really just try and refund the order before CBSA gets a new toy to play with and destroy. Even if you do get it, would it really be worth all that worry and sleepless nights before the package arrives *if* it makes it past customs?

At least you realized something and learnt what we try and tell underaged kids and adults alike all the time, even if the lesson was taught to others and they told you not to do exactly that. Sometimes you need to lose your own money for the lesson to really sink in.

If he's charging insurance than he knows there is a chance it will get siezed, which means he knows its illegal to ship them to Canada. Yea, that sounds real professional.

In a odd way I found this thread to be quite infomative

That court case is intense stuff

EagleDriver January 12th, 2010 10:05

It's funny, but I live only a few miles from East Coast Airsoft, and have never even heard of them until I saw this thread. We have a large airsoft community here (www.maapr.org) and nothing there either.

GMoney January 12th, 2010 10:11

I had been pondering buying some stuff from Airsoftstation.com,
Decided against it as the whole Customs thing...So I will be buying locally..

Alright here's the thing about this entire forum and its community, we are very strong on purchasing your airsoft items from the classifieds or retailers here on the site.

If you want to buy from east coast, or any other international site then do so, but realize that stating you will usually causes a 'little' uproar and some things may be said that be taken offensive.

A word of advice though, don't buy the gun now internationally. I'm going to think that it will be seized due to recent terrorist attempts, so just rethink it through with that in mind.

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw January 13th, 2010 15:42

It has nothing to do with the recent terrorist attempts. Its been CBSA policy since Dec. 01/98. Its clearly written in black and white. If you as a civilian attempt to import a prohibited device then you will suffer the consequences. Wanna try your luck and get lucky? Be aware that we have warned you of the consequences and that you do so without our support.

Short Round January 13th, 2010 19:24

Um because of the whole terrorist ordeal, they will be on high alert checking everything going through customs that looks suspicious.
