yeah, ive been looking for a fix for awhile, but it seems my bolt release only works sometimes, 90% of the time i have to pull the charging handle back and hold the bolt catch down after i put a new mag in =/

was wondering if anyone can enlighten us on our problem lol

Anybody know what grips will work? I'm getting annoyed with the finger nub on mine, and I've been looking at this one:

Any real steel grips will work with the KJW.

So that Mk18 grip I posted should work? It just appears a bit too small where it mounts onto the lower receiver.

Yeah it should, if not just grind a little of the inside of the grip and it will work

Finally got around to ordering my V2 Bolt. When trying to install the Cradle Velocity Adjuster, I couldn't get the badgeress thingy loose and ended up stretching the SHIT out of my spring... I ended up just banging the bolt on my desk a couple times and it came out after that... I used the spring that holds the piston cup from the V1 and it's all good now.
Original V2 spring shown with a BB for size comparison...

After having some free time (damn school), I found a solution to the problem.

Take small strip of cardboard paper (business card works well) and fold it about 4 times. Then glue it on the dip in the bolt catch. (See pics)
EDIT: Alternatively, you can 4-5 small pieces of gorilla/duct tape.

Perfect, thanks Ian.

What's the verdict on tightbores? RA-Tech or Madbull?

I've used madbull in both my AEGs and GBBR and I am more than satisfied. Never tried RAtech though.

If you are looking for good barrels try EDGI barrels, they have it for KJW m4, got mine already and it shoots great, but not the standard hop up :( Anyone knows solution to it other than TDC and shrink wrap? Done the shrink wrap but its not that consistent, over hop and under hop seems to still be present on occasions.

Where did you get yours from? I tried their site, but they don't list the KJW M4. and Cansoft doesn't have them anymore.

so is the duct tape / business card trick supposed to lighten the stiff bolt catch? or is it supposed to cycle and not lock back the bolt at all when the mag is empty, because mine is either still way too stiff if too little paper is put there or it's not locking back on an empty mag with a bit more tape?

It`s supposed to make the bolt catch engage the bolt correctly. It sounds like yours is a bit different from mine. You have to play around with it. Use tape, start with 1 piece, add another piece on top if it still locks up. Keep going until desired. If you go too far, the bolt wont catch.

I contact him directly by email and ask to make one, its not the US site btw, he did ask for measurements at first since he doesnt have the barrel, but now he can just make one fast. Check your pm for more info.
