Ya flawless, the place I ordered from is awesome http://www.sportsmansguide.com , they will let you return anything if it doesnt fit, or if your not happy with it, also, not many people know this, but they sell WW2 German uniforms, that this other store http://www.atthefront.com sells for alot cheaper, and there the exact same uniforms by Sturm.

Thanks for the info memel, I still need to get that toque to wear under my helmet.

T.Smith November 10th, 2005 00:19

Ah, Sportsmansguide carries the STURM tunics, which, for the most part, are correct as your goin' to get at that price range. Good stuff. If you have the money, an' want alost perfection, go with lostbattalions.com. They have pricey stuff, but boy is it worth it.

If you want a good quality helmet, get ahold of germanhelmetsinc.com <--Pure awesome work. I picked up a M-40 from them. Original shell, perfect paintjob

hmm, I dunno man, that helmet site is kinda pricy, who sells the Cheapest repro helmets, that still look correct ?

Hmm, I've never went with a repro, mainly because my unit doesn't allow them. You will have better luck lookin' through the World War 2 resource page I posted.

tiger-unit November 10th, 2005 21:57

Lithium... They have german helmets..the WW2 ones ?? Are they located in Surrey just a little bit after the bridge ?

hansrohleder November 17th, 2005 20:47

I got a repo from lostbattalions for $200. I see a lot of "orginal" german shells with repo liners for around the same $200 mark. Though it depends on size, larger being more expensive.

For wool hats I find you can always make them bigger by just pulling on it a bit.

T.Smith November 17th, 2005 20:50

Yup, original shells an' repro liners.

As for the hat thing, it isn't ment to fit on your head....it is ment to fit slightly slanted on your head. 1 finger above your right ear, an' about 3 fingers on your left ear. Make sure to have your hair cut appropriately as to not look like a FARBy hippy skater German from the future.

tiger-unit November 17th, 2005 21:00

hah, alright Smith, my hairs kind of short anyways.

Kameraden, I need a word of advice, I want to get M40 tunic and trousers. where should I get it? I'm looking for quality rather than price. also I need some BeVo waffen insignia for feldmutze. Oh yeah, I found pretty good tutorial on helmet restoration, but it's in russian. Well it's not a problem for me, but if anybody interested, I can try to translate it.

If Quality is what you seak, here are my two highly recommended sites:

www.lostbattalions.com
www.1944militaria.com

Both are extremely accurate and have very high wool quality. The service from LB is also very good an' shipping takes about a month. 1944's products are high end but their shipping and customer service can 'sometimes' be troublesome.
