It would be good to see another retailer in Canada, but only if you can keep the prices down as we are allready taking in in both ends from the other retailers.....all two of them.

being not age verified yet more than of age to purchase airsoft. I would definatley purchase from them. maybe it will bring the prices down to a reasonable range. the mark up for guns is crazy. I know that its what it is but i dot agree with the insane mark up. Paintball was the same way when it first started up in canada. The Markers were just insane in price. However bringing it back to airsoft i would for sure buy from them if the prices were competitive to others and closer in price to the us.

All valid point but the markup is there for a reason, once you start looking at the various costs of import fees and licensing etc then you'll understand. Not to mention rental fees for the property....Things add up and it will cost a lot. Take a look at the contrywide target market, how many asc age verified users (who still play) are there? This is pretty much your market....canadian retailers can't have a similar mark-up as US retailers purely due to supply and demand. If we chould boost the number of airsofters in canada to the same number as in the states, then we might have an argument for prices to drop down to parity....or close...

That's a double positive though, if we boost the number of Airsofters in Canada we can achieve lower prices as well as help push airsoft to the legal side of the grey area.

Although more airsofters means more mainstream attention...which isn't always best...

id definately say yes. i live fairly close to them.

IMHO if i was a retailer for airsoft guns in Canada i'll be doing the same thing: marking up the prices. its all about economics and the supply and demand. I wouldn't blame them for jacking up the prices...well... maybe a little :D

Im moving to North Van next month and I of course wouldnt mind have a store or two to walk into and pick up what I need. ;-)

Sorry skimmed through this thread.

Is this the place on broadway near commericial drive? Last time I was there it had like greenish paint and a gorilla statue thingy outside.

Kaelythir February 18th, 2008 18:09

This would be an excellent benefit to the entire Airsoft community in Canada. Im sure any one of us would be willing to lend as much support as we can to get another retailer up and running. Just make sure you are sufficiently staffed to reply to the most likely thousands of emails you will receive!

New retailers are always a good thing. Despite having 007 here at home, I would defintely give them a shot.

I was talking to the guys at gorilla surplus; hoping that they can import airsoft instead of me buying online(I personally like dealing face to face) BUT, the answer they got was currently NOT possible except for clearsoft and maybe colorsoft stuff and accessories.

kullwarrior March 3rd, 2008 08:59

please don't keep necro its unlikely they will now if they cant back then

Azathoth March 3rd, 2008 10:40

I will say yes, but a webstore is certainly a must for me to order. Vancouver is close as well so games can be organized through there

gorillasurplus March 3rd, 2008 19:47

Hey guys!
I might have a line on some clearsoft M-4 AEG's that are made in the same factory as the Classic Army stuff! Reinforced full metal gears and gear boxes, spring upgrades, ported pistons, etc. Fully compatible with all the parts and upgrades from Classic Army! Also I'm gonna be able to get MP5 mid grade AEG's that are all black except for the stock!
Any questions? Please ask!!!

Rock on!
Rob,
Gorilla Surplus
