will element headsets (comtac etc) plug into the DH PTT?

Also, will the H250 handset be avalible on its own? For those who bought the bowman or diy package but want the handset as well.

To add an extra headset H250($60) or bowman headset with PTT($70). You may reprogram through the key pad

I'm jusst wondering if you really clone the features of real AN/PRC-148?

listed here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/PRC-148

like frequency hopping, sometype of encryption (digital/analog), AM/FM, 30-512mhz.

I'm sure tech subby people/OEM manufacture in guangzhou/hong kong can manufacture radio with these firmware upgadable features.

Also how much for an extra connector set? For example I order the basic package but want to convert my Frogman headset or my comtacs.

ok, I will check.

Due to the high demand, pre-orders before July 10 is secured and will be shipped in about a week. The rest will have to wait till at least Aug. I will try to get some more.

Huang, I have the real Peltor Comtac II headset that has the PTT with the 6 pin connector for the real PRC-148 radio. Do you have any suggestion how I can connect my Peltor Comtac II headset to the DH PRC-148 radio DIY package?

huang July 18th, 2009 10:14

If you have real comtac, the best way is to purhcase the U-183 base( 5 or 6 pins match your headset )

Ship to the manufacture and have it installed on your radio, so you don't need to modify your real comtac. DIY package is for headset clones( comtac II clones etc ).

So, once we have the U-183 conector we have to send the PRC to DIY with the conector to be installed?
