A custom build I recently completed for a friend, its a Nova Springfield Operator with Detonator Storm Lake threaded-barrel.

Same gun, new coating on frame. As cool as the shiny polished aluminum frame looked, it was a bit too blingy and tarnished too easily . Time for another DuraCoat experiment:)
I tried something a little different with the Parker DuraCoat by mixing in a little matt clear as opposed to just top coating with it. I think it turned out quite well and really looks like the frame was parkerized .

My classic M1911 with an aged look

My classic M1911 after I applied an aged-finish treatment to make it look more like an authentic piece from WWII which has seen lots of action in the battlefield. Now I don't have to worry about paint chips anymore! This job was partially inspired by the Colt Limited Edition NRA 1911 CO2 BB Pistol, but I think mine looks better ;)

I'm very interested to see how the rails and the frame are done because it seems to remove the need for a donor set of rails, and they should have no problem making the rails full length. As in not having the gap on the left side.

Yes eluder I agree haha the SAI makes the 1911 look a bit chunky but I am excited to see the rail design

You need the inner frame!
The new frame rails is from the SAI kit and after a standard feat!

Those kits are gunna cost a hell of a lot of money in canada.. but damn they are gunna be nice.

Wolf - over on arnies there was a discussion about the sai 1911. A guy named 'squad' had a lot of info about nova/prime and their products sayin there was 10 new styles coming? Plus a new batch of older models in the near future.

Plus the new models were to be designed with the '2015 advanced frame'.

Is he a credible source? Since u post on that site also..

Like I said, WE within these couple years has improved a lot on the functional and finishing, so impressed. After holding it, enjoying the details of the floral pattern, shooting it, the slide and internals feel so smooth. (only the recoil spring and hammer spring are not strong enough) And the price point, it is much more than worth enough. But one thing I'm pretty sure, is the material still the same as before, may not long lasting.

My gf wanted a flashy side arm. So I got the sides of her 1911 polished.

Received this KJ KP07 in a trade today. Unfortunately the original owner decided to "weather" the gun with a wire brush (complete with bloody tally marks) and has lost apparently lost the end cap. I'm going to end up throwing a shit ton of cash into it to make it nice. I haven't looked inside yet, but Im holding my breath.

When I say "modded" I just mean some parts for looks. Threaded barrel and extended slide catch. And some half-assed polishing.

That looks nice and the polishing was good but, you used the wrong model, snake's hand gun was an a1 model and has no rail... Just point it out... I guess you can call it version 2.0

If you want to get truly technical, there are a bunc of differences.

The sights aren't right, the slide grooves are angled unlike the A1 model(like I said I was just trying to make it LOOK like it's from the game), there is no rail on the A1 either like you said. The grips aren't real wood and the A1 has full, one piece grips.

The in game model has a different shaped thumb and grip safety, and finally the magazine doesn't quite stick out as far in game.

Also I guess this thing shoots BBs instead of bullets.

Thanks for pointing out that it's not perfect though. I went with a hi capa base because they perform better.

To be honest I've never seen a black V12 or V10. At least not factory painted.
Only silver and gold.

I had a black V10 but that was Duracoated.

The only black v12 ive seen is the one made by ARMY. SOOOO quality might be a bit crap but i think they are the only ones who make it in black

I got this gun from a friend in France it's really a super awesome gun.
Very rare piece and has lots of small details... I kinda miss the old days.
Newer kits are nowhere near as nice as this one.
