That's my basement bathroom. Imagine tile on the slab, in Alberta in winter.

Needless to say you wear socks if you value your feet in there.

Oh yeah I can see the toes gettin a little chilly! My bathrooms in the basement too and Sask winters are about as unfriendly. I dream of redoing the floor someday but its just so much work and we finally just got the shower installed and the vanity is still being set up. Anyways enough about the bathroom! I could have taken my stock off but shes a single point attached at the back of the reciever on a ring held on by the stock! I suppose I could take the 2 minutes to grab a screw driver and remove it but that defeats the purpose of being lazy!

Im also jealous that you have a shower door, we just have a curtain for now. Home depot is out of the door I like. Those bastards.

Just wondering, were those on the scales with the battery in or out?

My non PTW came in at 9.6 pounds, but that was with out a magazine or battery. It's got the SPR front end and bipod, it's no carbine....

Finally got some new goodies to slap on. Just some small details but I havnt gotten the gear out of the closet in far too long. Still some work to go but they're getting there. All CF based and needing paint.. If its on there its real, no copies.

I put a new full length barrel on today to replace the previous one that had its threads damaged in transit. I was surprised to find it only had a carbine length inner unlike the damaged barrel. Anyone else have issues with this, or have they just changed production since I last checked (a wile ago).

Systema stopped production of the M16 cylinders in 2006 (pre-MAX), so all cylinders now are for use with M4/CQB-R inner barrels.

Get a PDI 509mm barrel for PTWs. I have one, nice unit. And I gained 30 fps going to it over M4-length, and another 10-12 fps going to a reinforced real upper.

I guess by some weird turn of events, King Arms made more then one to turn a profit. Crazy...

Whats the ID on the PDI barrel? The damaged systema barrel I have is the 6.04 with the steel outer. Given that its here I'd love to just swap it out if I can get my hands on a 14mm die. Just picked up a universal thread restorer but the damned thing wont work as the barrel is thicker after the threads. Probably for the better, thing looked like a piece of crap anyhow. Short of that there's always wet sanding the inner to fit in the proper outer. Damn, there's so much more stuff out there for PTW's these days, I've had my head out of the game for way too long.

mcguyver November 3rd, 2008 21:26

Oz, get a metric thread file. All you need is the 1.00mm pitch anyways, and they cost about $15 or so.

I didn't need to do any mods to fit the PDI in my M16, and this was the Gen 1 aluminum outer barrel as well. I would venture to guess that PDI's 6.04mm may really be 6.035mm, but I don't have the precision in my calipers to measure that small.
