Hi Huang!

How we can send the mil connector to the manufacturer?

I think that the better way to do that is that we´re able to send you the mil connector with a reserve payment and once you have the modified radio, we have to make the full payment and you send to us the product :D

So what is the dfferances between the gen 2 and gen 3?

huang November 3rd, 2009 22:39

Gen 3 has a detachable battery compartment as the real steel ones. The new lipo battery compartment is 4V, 2000MAH which can last for 2 - 3 days.

first of all. looks amazing. feels amazing.
yeah feels great. super solid all aluminum which is rad.
switches and buttons all work and feel proper, not about to fall off or anything.

the battery compartment attachment is the really the only thing on it that i dislike a lot. its just a big bolt from the bottom. to stop from rotating it has opposite screws and holes that it kinda locks into. the radio to battery plug is kinda sus too. like they could have dont a different more flat style connection im sure. cheeped out with that. could see it getting loose after time.
the battery is a small stick lipo inside. i dont know why they went with something so small when they could have had something bigger. its only down the one side in the compartment. you could switch it easily if you felt the need.

they total just drilled some of these holes after anodizing so its just open metal and looks shitty. not a big deal we all know how to use a spray can.
also the bottom here is just two plates with different holes so the screw doesnt fall through but is more flush (not totally flush) and the plates arent even glued together. easy fix. not like those ever come off really but still. cheeped out not having it one piece with a machined hole

Im not exactly sure as to what this little toggle behind the middle dial is as i dont have another radio to test nor have i wired my msa ptt correctly since i changed it before but i think its to go from the radio speakers to the headset...? if anyone knows...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...f/DSCN1262.jpg

Im really really impressed with the rubber cover for the U-283. its great. just looks good to me. but as seen in this photo the speaker is just open for damage in the back (while handling you can easily put your finger in the hole) pretty retarded.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...f/DSCN1265.jpg

antenna is kinda weak in a few ways. its non functional (only have heard that), its not real dimensions so it looks retarded to me. the connectors aren't the same as on the real one...super weak. its also not in the correct spot. not stoked on any of this. but it comes with an extension cable like a MAST KIT to throw it on the back (which i did)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...f/DSCN1270.jpg

beside a toysoldier replica shell it is much shorter and much much skinnier. its just great. thales logos are proper. i think the mic hole is stupid. they could have done something different with that.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...f/DSCN1269.jpg

side view looks great. i like the details.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...f/DSCN1266.jpg

front also great except for you can see the lines from the cnc around the buttons and shit. not great in this pic but you can in real life: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...f/DSCN1267.jpg

the insides looked good. it was getting weird to continue taking it apart so i just stopped but stuff looked legit and solid from what i could see.
from what i can tell, it has more settings and functions then i'll ever know what to do with.
i have not had time to test it as i dont have a spare radio anymore. prob works fine.

thats all i got any questions just ask :)
