What's the advantage of Magpul accessories as opposed to others? Like say, for instance, the Pistol Grip, or those fancy skeleton stocks? I understand how the flip rail-sights are desirable, but is there an actual difference, like a certain weight distribution or molding, or is it more of a "I have one Magpul accessory, so I need 'em all!" kind of thing?

CTR Stock's adjusting mechanism is simpler to use and has a friction lock to get rid of the wobbling, and its $90. In RS term that is pretty cheap considering VLTOR or LMT stocks will cost more, and the MOE version is only around $60. Magpul's stuff don't cost a whole lot compare to other products on the market, serves good purpose and functions as you want them. Its more to the case of "why not" than "why" IMO...

Obviously the "cool guy on video has them" factor is there, and I'd be lying if the vid didn't do its job in getting people to look at their stuff, but once you've used them, done the math and feel the results then it makes pretty good sense as to why use them.

Thats a bloody long barrel on a carbine Zeon. Is that 20"?

There abouts...inner is almost as long as the outer too(on the rebar cutter FH, the inner goes right to the point where the two prongs of the FH start).

@ 394 and that barrel, it should do what it is intended for, just havent had an oppourtunity to adjust the hopup to perfect the range I want...:)

Eventually I'll replace the PEQ2 and NiMh with a PEQ15 and a LIFPO combo and cut down on some of the front end weight.

QD mount points (depending on the version you have) are ambidextrious, with 4 spots (2 per side). On my version I dont have the receiver base mount on both sides, but I can reverse the one I have installed if I ever so desire.

There are GBBR versions, or if you find a good clone you get both the AEG and GBBR pipes (that's what came in my packaging, so if I ever go the GBBR route then my UBR is coming along for the ride hehe)

What? Why in the love of God?

A SiG with a PMAG in it looks disgusting, go ahead and Photoshop it. The body is different in the way that the trigger guard is it's own unit, Magpul bodies aren't like that. Taking away the trigger guard is just minus one for SiG uniqueness. Replacing the stock, again, is just minus one for SiGs. If you just want a unique SiG, slap on an RAS with the FF EBR stock and grab a few TM Lowcaps, and it becomes a nice eye-catcher since no one ever sees them around.

Magpul has it's own market. I don't like Magpul, but don't criticize people who do. Different tastes and whatnot. If Magpul started branching to other weapon systems, we'd end up with Magpul everywhere, and it'd become the noobcam of rifles. Don't know about you, but I don't want to see a group of people with a Magpul AK, Magpul SiG, Magpul FN FAL, and Magpul G36.

Magpul guns are nice to see in moderation, just like all weapons. I'd get sick of it if I saw it on everything. Conformity is sometimes a bad thing.

Szelma June 30th, 2010 17:41

That's true. Magpulized AK, SIG, FN, G36... is profanation of classic style. Magpul target is whole M4 family. I cant imagine M16A1 or classic Colt XM177 with Magpul equipment.

Nice! Thats 14,5" barrel? You are consider purchase of new mount to Your Aimpoint?

cellulose July 20th, 2010 03:59

Yeah, it's a 14.5" Madbull Barrel which just so happens to have Noveske markings on it as well =D.

As for the Aimpoint, I am thinking about getting the T-1 Micro, but we will see.

Some quick snaps of my WE M4.

Been working on it for a month or so now. Probably about 5000 rounds put through it, and it's still working great.
