How to spray paint?
 

Ok i want to get a gun and spray paint it all black. (wont be shown in public) I dont know how to dissasemble a gun and what not so how would i spray paint it without dissasembling the parts. also u cant tape stuff but i dont know what to tape up.

Wow, dude that was me. I'm not that nice apparently. Seriously though, don't paint your gun especially if you aren't sure how to tape it off, no offence but I see a crappy painted gun and an unhappy you comming out of that situation.

oh it was u. well, ya, umm whateva. I sorta know how to paint it, u do nice even sorta stripes, i dont know how to put it.

Step 1.

Buy Tape and Krylon black spray paint.

Step 2.

Apply tape to the parts you don't want to spray paint(or just tape newspaper onto the stock since that's easier)

Step 3.

Paint the gun.

Step 4.
Get age verified and buy something from the classifieds, so it doesn't have to be painted.

Ideally, since you have two threads, I'll answer your question here. When you buy an airsoft gun, you get what you pay for. The Lycaon, will last for a very short time, and isn't compatible with aftermarket parts either.

think you forgot something, use primer or a few weeks later your gun is the same old color. also, do more than one coat and make sure its even, crappy paint jobs are gay as flamer zombies.

oh and I agree with step 4.

Just make sure you don't stop moving the can while you're painting it, sweep it as if you're running a paint brush across a canvas. Don't know why it took two pages for someone to post something this simple, newbie tank isn't for flaming but apparently that is lost on some people.

but where should i tape up, i know battery compartment and magazine area, barrel and thats pretty much it.

Anywhere that getting paint on might prevent the mechanism from moving, mag release stuff like that.

How to spray paint?
 

1. Remove cap

2. Use your finger (index works best) to press the button at the top of the can, make sure you point it with nozzle facing in the direction of the surface you want painted

3. Repeat as necessary

what kind of gun is it? you do know there are alot of videos on how to paint, disassemble, reassemble all types of guns right? use major search engines or even better the one here.

As far as I know flaming is not acceptable in the newbie tank, sure he might have broken the rules for creating a thread for info that could have easily been found elsewhere, but you also broke the rules by flaming. Your comments made you look more immature than this under-ager, in my opinion.

OK i play with my friends at one guys private bush and they all got a17's which own my spring pistols. yes i know the a17 sucks but it beats my pistol. I wanted to get a aftermath Lycaon i wanted to know if its good. all the reviews i see it performs well but the stock breaks off. im fine with that, but i was just wondering if i should get it, Also i cant afford 300$ guns, and 200$ guns with shipping are alot.

well when your gun breaks, which it will soon, we aren't helping you in how you could possibly fix it.

Step 1: Finding paint!
Get some good spraypaint. Krylon is always good. Always test the paint before you use it, and make sure it's not the sticky, shiny crap.

You don't want your gun ending up like this:

Step 2: Applying tape!

Cover the parts you wish with tape. Don't forget to tape the orange tip!

Step 3: Painting!
Spray the paint in rows over the gun like so:

Do this 4 times, with about 5 minutes in between for the paint to dry thoroughly.

Enjoy!

Let dry for 10 minutes while you go watch TV.

Come back knowing you've got a sweet painted gun for you to use :D
