Canadian JTF 2 fan from the Philippines
our humble impression of the very secretive unit of the Canadian special forces known as JTF 2. any suggestion is welcome, hope you like it guys! :)

Well if you want to be accurate, they don't actually have a patch for JTF2 and they don't wear cadpat pants (ALTHOUGH they have been known to walk around in full CADPAT BDU without insignia or name tags if dealing out of a base), and they don't have the Canadian Flag on them either. :p
But I like your get up! Keep up the good work and make us Canadians pround when you're kicking ass on the field! |
Other than the patches, you've got the "haiti close protection" look going pretty good.

Agreed with Kokanee... but also change the ELCAN for a proper C79 replica. You've got an M145 replica
http://airsoft-club.com/shop/images/AS1812.jpg but you need the C79: http://mil.fznews.com.cn/newsimages/...2152117594.jpg The main visual difference is that it doesn't have the large adjustement knob on the side. |
thank's guys! regarding the patches, since my brother sent me those patches from Canada, i thought i might just use them for aesthetic purposes. :) we'll get rid of them next time, thank's for the advice. regarding the Elcan, my bro went to velocity arms there in Toronto i think(not sure though). they did not have the C79 and only have the M145 version on stock. since i was too excited about the scope, i felt it was alright anyways since it was his gift for me on my birthday. thank's bro!hehehe. again, thank's for the comments guys. :)

Ok so here are some pictures of JTF2! Seems some have worn CADPAT and wore Canadian Flags! And the one thing that stands out, I don't see ANY with Elcans! Most are in fact iron sights, ACOGS, maybe an aimpoint, or an Eotech. |
i'm not sure if these guys are JTF2, this pics inspired us to do the impression. we thought they were, as labelled in the internet when i searched for pics. :) maybe you can give us reference pics guys, we would appreciate it very much. so we can do a better impression the next time. thank's. :)

nice impression guys. I say a large double-double(Tim Horton's) would complete the kit. :-)

Great job, +50,000 for the beard :D
Wear what you want :P That's pretty much the impression. I think you'll find that the majority of pictures have them dressed differently depending on the job. |

I think everyone has already mentioned about the patches, ditch 'em, because they don't wear 'em.
Other than that... Ayos lahat pare! |
Wow, pretty sure I've met the second guy in those pictures. You never know though. EDIT: First two are same guy.... My bad. Still, recognize him.

P.S. I realize that most of their members are ex JTF, Groupement tactique and special regiments operators but then again it is still a different organization. |

Back also in 1996 JTF2 was sent to Haiti to advise the security forces of President Rene Preval on methods to repel the revolutionary army, train local SWAT teams and raid weapons smugglers in Port au Prince. JTF2 was also in Haiti in 2004 protecting the Canadian Embassy when the Haitian President was ousted from office. These were the pictures posted in newspapers. Seems like JTF2 enjoy vacationing to Haiti :p |
That's pretty much the only way one can spend a "vacation" in Haiti: Armed to the teeth.

I just added a point that not all of the pictures that we see all over the place are of JTF members even if they may look like it. Many other not well known Canadian based organizations also exist. If you see a guy in middle east wearing a tan suit whit a Canadian flag, it does not absolutely mean he is JTF...:D |

You got my point! ;)

Awesome, I'm jealous at the patch! I want to do something like this someday I just don't got the cash to support my hobby at the moment.
maybe next time you should add a pair of greaves/leg armor for your next shoot. JTF2 assaulters love'em. Check out the legs.... http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...e/jtf35ts7.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...f2killtali.jpg BTW notice no patches in the pics. although they do sport them whenever they got to babysit. Probably for the same reason why Americans wear Canadian patches on their luggage. |

One looks like a modded British assault vest...the other one, God knows.

In the picture with the four guys in navy blue at my grandmas apartment, what gun is the guy on the far right holding?
It looks like one sexy mp5 with the slim style foregrip....*drool*.... |
JTF-2 leg shroud
What do JTF-2 troops wear on their legs/shins??
http://www.easycompany.ca/Quickstart...b/JTF2_01b.jpg http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/5484/jtf2.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...e/jtf35ts7.jpg Could it be kevlar leg armour?? It looks like big shin guards with saddle bag style pouches on the outer sides... Maybe pistol holsters or knife sheaths?? |
probably so they dont damage there knees, leg injuries are bad in the field, and they usually have to walk long distances, looks like baseball catcher leg pads with a drop leg pouch wrapped around it without connection to belt
|
recent photos, not necessary JTF. just a regular sunday game. :) merry christmas everyone! :)

I gotta say that beard makes the gear look pretty badass lol can never go wrong with a beard and a rifle
|

Good stuff. The saw, nvg pvs mount and acog are on point. Here's some references for you

I would ditch the Elcan C79 as that wouldn't be used.. instead go with an EoTech, ACOG or Specter DR. Also swap out the PEQ2 for a PEQ15/16, theres another IR laser I've seen them have but I can't remember what it's called.
|
on the first image tygr posted, anyone know what kind of sight is on his rifle. i'm thinking an acog but just wanted to make sure.
|
ACOG with a Dr red dot sight on top.
|
thank's guys! can i use a gallet helmet? i'm planning on taking the helmet cover.
