Totally new to GBBR.

Hi,

I'm totally new to GBBR world, so I just want to gather some tips before I get into it.

I'm going get a GBBR but I don't know which one is good. I know that KJW makes nice gas blowback systems, so I was thinking of getting a KJW M4.
But I want a realism. I mean, I'm looking for a hard kick GBBR.

So here is my questions;

1. does KJW M4 has a hark kick? if not, which brand would you recommand?

2. I realized that most of magazines are hold up to 30rd bb's, how do you reload? Do you guys just carry many mags? or do you reload the bb's with one mag in the field?

3. how much gas can I hold in the mag? like for normal GBB pistols, I count 3-
4 seconds and it last untill I shoot out all the bb's were in the mag.

4. which part effects the blow back system? is it same as pistol? or different?

5. how do you maintain a mag? same way to the pistol's?

6. the difference between gas mags and co2 mags?

As far as I remember, these are the thing that I want to get advised.

Thanks for your time.

Best way to do some research (that I know of - simple for me) is to take the model of gun and YouTube it. Then you will find many videos of people explaining their experiences with it. Gives you a good idea and you don't have to read :).

I checked some videos of the WE M4. Looks pretty badass.

Dude.. I don't know how you play, but I like to play realistically as I did for my first game. Lots of fun. Yes of course you carry more than 1 mag. Honestly, this one mag hi-cap deal that people do just makes me view them as a 14 year old with no experience. No joke.

You reload by pressing the mag release, and insert a new magazine.

But...I'm not a 14 year old boy nor I attend the game with only one hi-cap..somepeople in Calgary maybe knows I'm pretty hardcore guy...
My point is...how do you figure out if the mag is fully filled up with a gas? do you count a second or what? I've watch a video on Youtube that one guy is keep shooting a bb's out of the gun with out refill the gas up. He is just shooting the bb out of the gun and reload and so on...

Again, do some research via Google. There is bound to be a website. Just look at what id recommended. What kind of mags are you going to get for your GBBR? Once you know this then research to see how to properly load it with gas and how long it will last.

Only once you cannot find this information yourself, then come to the forums with what you have learned and what you still need to know. For most stuff, you don't need to do this cause you will mostly find what you need someone on the internet or on the forums already.

Also you talk about this video. You realize each mag has its own gas capacity therefore he can reload with a different mag and keep shooting right? Same as a pistol. So if he has 10 mags of course he can keep shooting cause theres gas in all of them.

WE baby ........ it's where it's at, the WE PDW though takes the other WE mags but the PDW magwon't work in other WEs :P

If you have a rubber O-ring in the fill valve, you fill until you stop hearing the flow of gas.

Gasguns.info is really a much better forum for the information you are looking for;

That being said, I strongly recommend you look into the new FMU WE M4's coming down the pipes.

How is the Recoil on the WA more realistic than say the WE?

I have a WE and I think its about 75% of a Real M4. Just curious.

75% of a 22lr one maybe. There's no way WE m4 has that much, just remember a 5.56 out of a real m4 is 884 meters per second with a weight of 4.1 gram which equates to a large momentum, the WE m4 shoots around 120m per second on a 0.2g projectile even with the blow-back calculated, its no where closed. I've fired a 9mm Colt SMG select fire (M4 SMG chamber in 9mm) and none of the recoil comes even close. unless you're comparing it to a blank fire.

FYI I've never fire WE m4 but SCAR, Daytonagun AK (kicks the hardest), KJW m4 kicks a lil less than WA series, WA m4 series None of those are even close to the real one. Daytonagun recoil is about lil less than AK shooting blanks. (5.45 blanks) according to a classic airsoft member who shot both.

Recoil on the WE Scar is really low... IMO....

We know already that recoil of WE is lower than WA, and WA is lower than DG, and DG is lower than firearms.

Kokanee June 20th, 2010 22:52

i think that we can all agree that regardless of what brand of GBBr you have, any recoil = FUN.

Brayden June 20th, 2010 22:56

sorry am stupid delete.

ryan1796 June 20th, 2010 23:17

Just curious about the brand that I've never heard of...what's DG??

And you guys are saying KJW has weaker kick than those WE,WA, and DG??

For me, blowback and able to find a spare parts are the most important thing.

DG is Daytonagun, its an external air system.

For parts all of em are pretty good.

Daytonagun parts you just order straight from Justin Lee himself or trade for replacement. (those parts don't break easily as they're high quality steel)

WE you can order spare parts from WE, but overall still lose to KJW in terms of replacement.

WA has the most third party accessories

KJW has KJW back them for spare parts.

Oh, so Daytonagun. I think I've watched a video that someone posted up.
Is any of those gun comes with a full metal receiver in Canada? I know I can place the custom order from the retailer but just to make sure.
I think I'm going to stick with KJW.

Qlong June 21st, 2010 00:01

The DG internals kit cost more than the KJW.

Yes..as I expected. Because that thing isn't easy to invent at all.

ryan1796 June 22nd, 2010 02:27

Have one more question about the blowback system.

I know that I can change the buffer and spring for WE to get a harder recoil but does KJW have same way as WE does?
