Ksc m4 gbb

I guess its not entirely a surprise, since KWA's been showing off theirs. But unlike KWA's AEG M4s, the fact that there is a KSC version means its unlikely that its a copy of an existing design......

The plot thickens....

I've just seen the video of the KSC m4 GBB. Man I must admit, the trademarks on those looks nicer than KWA's

here's an example of the video -->YouTube- KSC M4A1カービン GBB

Hell yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gunny_McSmith November 1st, 2010 08:40

looks awesome, cant wait for the first reviews of it....
I want to know how does the system7 performs on a bigger scale, with heavier components...

But only CON so far..... mags are 80$ a piece.... :S

orb November 1st, 2010 11:14

I don't think it looks awesome. The price is much too high.
The markings doesn't look very nice. The KSC M4 reminds me of ICS M4.
Die Cast stuff for this price isn't worth it IMO.

Just saying that, I'd MUCH rather have (relatively) flawless internals, and have sub par externals.

juicy November 1st, 2010 19:31

Agreed. Price is quite high. Looks to perform decently, ie with hardly any discernible cool down... though there's no reference to the temperature it was fired at in the videos on youtube, so who knows, right?

Looks like I have to hold off on a little longer till reviews and more videos start popping up...

Danke November 1st, 2010 19:54

Propietory mag would seem to be the only downer looking at it cold. That can fudge getting more, or sharing within a group of guns.

Still the mags for the MP7 have been good and seem to crop up for sale reasonably well.

juicy November 1st, 2010 20:10

Proprietary mags is the same deal between WE and KJW and WA/G&P/etc and so on so forth, though - I don't see what all the fuss is about proprietary mags... someone mind explaining this to me?

Well, because it gives you the choice for, 1 mag? I'd probably buy a WA based GBBR because I could choose between WA, Pro-Win, GHK, KA, Viper-Tech, AGM, heck even EA makes mags for that platform.

KSC will only take KSC mags like WE only takes WE mags. Not much choice there and if there is a known/common issue with the design or quality well you don't have anything else to turn to. Also allows those companies to ask whatever crazy price they want because only theirs will fit.

Conker November 1st, 2010 20:59

Like, like... More competitors in the market. Just in time as I'm shopping to buy one for next season, so hopefully there will be enough reviews by the time I'm buying it.

I have relatively high hope in this one because of the great efficiency of the pistol System7, even in sub-zero temperatures... I sure hope they lower the price of their mags though. I'd be buying at least 8, maybe up to ten (to always have backup ones in case of a leak problem).

Ninja_En_Short November 1st, 2010 22:05

Doesn't look half bad, but I'm not sure the mag are that good : they look a lot like the VFC ones, which I really hate.
Plus I don't see the bolt lock system, I hope it's not VFC based, if it is it's going to be a pain in the ass sooner or later...

Well IMO system 7 performs well on pistols and SMGs, because the bolt/slide are light, if you weight a stock KSC USP slide, it weighs nothing...lol, and if you open it up, you'll see that they took weigh off everything they could in it....

That's why the recoil on stock KSC guns arent really noticeable...And by adding upgraded heavier parts to improve the felt-recoil = you'll start to notice the cooldown...

Thats why I'm not really sure about this gun, since a m4 platform = it has to cycle a heavier bolt + buffer.... which could result in some cooldown.... but I'm sure it wont be as much as a WA platform....lol

Thenooblord November 1st, 2010 22:58

I thought one of the claims of the system 7 was "realistic heavy recoil" or is that just something they put in the sales blurb?

Gunny_McSmith November 1st, 2010 22:59

no... lol, system7 recoil is nothing...lol

juicy November 2nd, 2010 00:19

They do have a great seal between piston head/loading nozzles though, don't they? lol.

You could probably modify it to be hard kick if you wanted to, though.

Same thoughts here, though most of my KSC pistols were metal slide guns, so they kick pretty good. Comparably I'd say they are maybe a tad better than TM gun, pistol wise. Though I haven't tried one of the newer TM like the 5-7, which has enlarged cylinder to improve that aspect...

The MP7 has very little kick, but comparably its bolt is tiny, so is the Mac11.

There are already vid of the M4 shooting in Japan that shows there are considerably slow down on full auto. No obvious gas spewing, but if they are using the lower pressure 134a to start with that cool-down-to-liquify effect won't be noticeable since the pressure drop is not as extreme. The heavier bolt will do the same thing as everything else in GBBR world I think. If you want hard kick, you are going to pay in efficiency...

Limiting it to 30 round is smart move on their part though....

cjboi November 6th, 2010 14:29

I talked to johnny from RA TECH and he told me the KSC M4 GBB is meant for duster gas as its made in japan. KSC might also release an M4 Taiwan Version, therefore it will shoot as strong as the KWA version. He said the recoil in the KSC M4 is strong due to weight of the bolt. He already made a review on youtube on KSC M4 GBB

Sim123456 November 6th, 2010 14:59

A review with green gas! ^^

L473ncy November 6th, 2010 15:22

I'm with Kid here, if Real Sword made a GBBR Type 56 I wouldn't mind dropping $800 to get my hands on one.

It's just a matter of time (I hope) before they jump on the GBBR bandwagon and release a Type 56 GBBR. Just thinking about an RS Type56 makes me hard.

He told me, he's not sure how long the internals would last for green gas, but its definitely meant for duster gas. Its just a matter of time. Just like how other KSC japan guns, they eventually break with green gas.

kullwarrior November 7th, 2010 00:38

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say...
The nozzle is going to fail (See KSC Mp7 Japan version)
The boltcarrier is going to fail long term (Mine KSC MP7 Taiwan got chip at the allen screw spot after 15k+ Still works fine though)
The bolt catch is probably going to fail (such a heavy carrier, and all non-steel bolt carrier failed in the end... G&P, WE,WA etc)

Though I'm still really interested in the KSC M4. Would be looking forward to the comparision against KJW which IMHO seems to be the only M4 GBBR worthy of skirmish out of box unless you count in Sun Project ones.

Sim123456 November 7th, 2010 07:29

Anyway, it's not like we don't have 10's of other brands choice for an armalite! :)
