hmm not to sure how much i like the idea of aluminum for this stock, would make it lighter yes but more chance of stripping the treads when you disassemble and assemble it

just be carefull wormholing is prevatable if it doesnt go in easily its wormholing

c3sk August 11th, 2010 12:17

I'm not really impressed with the stock welding job in that picture. I think you're better off just buying a real system and having it modded to fit. Couldn't agree more regarding the stripped threads.

Personally I prefer this setup.

HeadlessChicken August 11th, 2010 12:26

hhmm...and I was really holding out for a WE M14 EBR.

stubs August 11th, 2010 13:40

i was already looking into the vltor stock for my m14 i this it would be an awesome stock to have

R.I.T.Z August 11th, 2010 13:47

not bad for a custom job..
welds might need some work, but keep up the work
would love to see the finished product.
keep us up to date

Gunny_McSmith August 11th, 2010 14:00

stubs August 11th, 2010 16:58

I didn't made that...... the title might be misleading but the parts are actually made by WE and still in rough-cut stage......

Guess I'll edit the title now......

ah ok then. still not bad for essentially testing i would guess. they'll probably do more stress testing and fix up the welds in the finally product "hopefully"

RacingManiac August 11th, 2010 18:14

The weld for a awkwardly shaped aluminum part is not bad at all....for something that small it's pretty good actually....

Whats the RS EBR made of?

Adamlxlx August 11th, 2010 18:22

^Was going to say the same thing.......that is actually a good aluminum weld. How many of you guys actually weld? Not bitching just want to know.

stubs August 11th, 2010 22:32

i can weld aluminum and that is a nice bead little sanding a paint looks great, rs ebr is made of cnc steel, pat of what makes it do damn heavy

Cilantro August 11th, 2010 23:04

Why all the EBR love? I say WE should have approached JAE or Troy. Pure. Sex.

Would have certainly provided a lot more options for furniture.
I'm sure over the next month we will see plenty of sexy m14's up with RS modern stock systems <drool>

stubs August 12th, 2010 13:02

I'm goin old school with my stock i have a usgi issued walnut stock with markings on it's way, but i alreayd own a jae 100, an ebr, and a real wood aeg m14s

Polyshot August 13th, 2010 06:24

Update:

According to the Powerstar(the one who let us know where the WE will be headed-I'm just the translator & runner for you), the fully CNC-machined & welded aluminum alloy EBR stock set is 200% sure to be sold as conversion kit instead of the complete gun, and the production run istentatively be limited to 500 sets.

Lorden August 13th, 2010 11:24

Crap I was holding out to get one as a full kit. Guess I better order my M14 right now.

stubs August 13th, 2010 12:00

interesting that they are doing it that way

Deadpool October 3rd, 2010 18:02

New development!

It seem like it's official!

HeadlessChicken October 3rd, 2010 18:23

I saw one such video showing off a WE gas M14 EBR where I asked if it was a conversion kit or a whole gun, I think it was an AirsoftGI video. WEAirsoft posted a confirmirmation that they intend to build an M14 EBR.

On topic, cool stuff, my brother is looking to get a WE M14, he'll LOVE this

philster911 November 3rd, 2010 17:03

Any updates on this? ETA? this is a very interesting gun!

If I guess it's 11900 "yen" converted to us it's around 150$

Jenya November 5th, 2010 16:49

That weld looks fine, a lot of people don't realize that aluminum is not all soft. If anyone worked with aircraft grade aluminum will vouch for the hardness of aluminum you can get.

Not big on modifying the M14 platform in any way besides scope / suppressor and stuff like that, but this looks like a well-done conversion.

Nothing better looking then the original stock layout on the M14. It's a beautiful gun as is. (yes I know it has flaws with the stock design)

The real one is aluminum as well.

Sim123456 November 5th, 2010 18:06

I find it great just to have the choice to change it between the old woostock design and the less old aluminium EBR. I sure will buy that lol!

Sim123456 November 6th, 2010 11:43

Just to be sure about importation, If I remember correctly, ordering a front end + a stock is not prohibited. I remembered having order a complete LCT front end with barrel + a wood kit without problem. Is is exact? Thanks!

It's available as a kit from Ra-Tech......................... 520$. I'll pass. ^^

WGCshop le vende moins chers: 440$

Can the kit actually make it past customs?

Sim123456 November 12th, 2010 07:34

I already asked this question, but nobody answererd. My guess is yes because a stock is not prohibited (like my Ra-Tec wood stock) and I already ordered a complete front set for an AK with inner and outer barrel. So, as I said, my guess is yes but at that price I would like someone else to share their toughts

Sim123456 November 12th, 2010 13:59

Listed at 485$ us on airsoftbuddy!

http://www.airsoftbuddy.com/index_ep...roducts_id=819

There is a difference between molded plastic and CNCed aluminium.

You end up with a more robust and, not to mention, much sexier gun!

Sim123456 November 12th, 2010 16:50

It's true, I would love so much to buy it but I just don't have the money... dont mistake what I meant! I'm drooling infront of this work of art... :p

By the way, is there someone able to tell if it pass the customs????

Well for $400+ dollars for just a stock. I'll pass.... When i asked James from WE i thought he meant it was $520 for a whole gun. But its actually $520 for just the stock.... -_-'

Update: James just told me that 180 out of the 500 pieces are already sold.

Thenooblord November 12th, 2010 18:11

how do you get in contact with james from WE? im still trying o get ahold of them

Sim123456 November 12th, 2010 18:37

Imagine the complete gun: 350$ + 450$ = 800$ for a WE gun. Here it will be 1600$. WE gun is appealing because of it's low prices. If the prices reach Inokatsu, no more appealing for me!

Disco_Dante November 14th, 2010 18:22

The entire gun is now available at Airsoft Panda

Its $820 for the entire thing... O.O

Strelok November 14th, 2010 19:10

Not worth it.

I'd rather put the money on parts to make the gun more solid internally, than externally.

WE M14's need a few internals to be spiced up with RATech parts before you can really get away with using it.

Agreed.

Sim123456 November 16th, 2010 14:47

This is exactly what I'm doing but when I see those videos

YouTube - WE SAGE Mk14 Mod0 EBR - 1.avi

I just wished I had kept this money for that! 445$ on Airsoftbuddy + 77$ shpping is at least = 522$ without customs and taxes.
