hey everyone, im new to airsoft and i want to buy a good airsoft gun. Every clear airsoft gun is crap so can someone help me find a good place to buy a Spring Sniper Rifle. thanks

Hi Ghille1994. Here at ASC we ask that new members get their age verified by a site representative before giving them access to airsoft toys of any kind. This is to help enforce the 18+ ruling on possesstion of an airsoft toy and also to make sure these semi-realistic toys don't fall into the wrong or irresponsible hands.

Unfortunatly without age verification you won't find much help here. Lots of questions you might have can be answered in the handy FAQ section.

And don't let rude assholes throw you off. ASC is a good site and most of the 800lb gorillas (as a friend used to put it) behind the computers are 90lb monkeys in real life.

Well then there is no way that you are one of my kids, so nope you wont be able to play and there is no way one of us who want to keep our accounts in good standing with the administration will tell you how to get something that you must be 18 years of age or older to own. Too bad, if you had been an illegitimate child of mine, then you could have at least been allowed to play alongside me.

im sure their is another way to get them.. im not saying it has to be legal either :D

I know where you coming from, and it can be hard sport to get into, but without parental consent and supervision you can't play, or buy guns here. look to a local retailer with parental consent. There is no way in hell you can acquire an airsoft gun illegally, there harder to get then real guns. sorry to say but you'll have to wait or get your parent/guardian to help you buy and own one responsibly .

Yes Ghille but the consequences of improper use are the same. For us, we lose our standing at ASC. For you, possible police involvement.

Someone who robs a store with an airsoft gun is going away for as long as someone with a real gun. Just one extreme example that springs to mind.

You may as well stick around here for two years or so. At that point you will have a solid grounding in airsoft theory and maybe even within the community. Don't get discouraged now. :-)

ill help! the best sniper rifle (at least most see it as the best) is a Tokyo Marui vsr.

the only people who are selling them in canada are retailers on this site, and to buy from any retailer on this site, you need to be age verified.

some people have tried to import them, but as stated they WILL get confiscated and you will never be able to import anything easily ever again (even if its legal) and good luck crossing the boarder in the future. ever had your car taken apart by customs? well you better start expecting it if you plan on importing one. and they don't have to put your shit back together

so to summarize, the only way you can get a real airsoft gun is to be 18+ and be verified on this site. and don't import anything, you will pay for it the rest of you life.

also, a good quality sniper rifle will cost about $700-$900 and then you will need to upgrade it.

That would mean your dad could play and own guns, and then maybe when he was established he could find a game he could take you along too that let under 18s with a trusted player.

Now if you think he could just do it on the sly and no one would know guess again. There are a good chuck of folks with revoked status from this same scenario, they carry that past when they're 18 and the ones that really made a stink aren't even welcome at games.

just out of curiosity, where are you going to use the airsoft gun? as far as i know, every field in Ontario is 18+. to be honest, having a full black airsoft gun and no place to use it is really bad as eventually i can see it being used in the back yard, which is bad. did you know its illegal to even shoot an airsoft gun in the city unless you are at a proper venue (like a paintball field).

Getting your dad AV'd in order to buy you guns is another way of circumventing the rules, something you were warned against a few posts earlier.

I was your age once (a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away) so I know you think you're better, smarter, etc and you can get the gun if you want. But you're digging a hole for yourself.

And in a few years you will be 18. But the rep you made for yourself will dog you like a bad case of herpes. You piss the staff off here bad enough and you may end up on the Do Not Verify list, which means that even after you're 18 you'll still be shit out of luck getting guns.

Getting someone else to get AV'd for you is a great way to do that. You think nobody will know? I can give you a list of minors that are on a shitlist for doing just that and their parents had their verification revoked. I know cuz I'm the one who banned 'em.

Do everyone, including yourself, a favor and play paintball for a couple of years like everyone else. Feel free to stick around the forums and read up and learn while you wait (and save up, too -- do it: you'll thank me later).

Or, you can rock the boat and get what's coming doing that.
