ShelledPants September 17th, 2010 16:39

Never buy black gear.

SniperSam September 17th, 2010 16:40

Never is a big word.. but most people play outdoors , and black is just not a good option for camoflage.

Buy Green or brown gear .. Brown is good because it goes with all types of camo

Black gear is good for Urban / Police/ SWAT - loadouts which make no sense in a field setting

SniperSam September 17th, 2010 16:56

That's what I was looking for, thank you. So would OD go good with woodland?

Penguin September 17th, 2010 17:05

Buy whatever makes you happy, thats a good rule of thumb.

OD= green

m102404 September 17th, 2010 17:14

but woodland has green in it too....so would it go with Olive Drab right (you're sure olive is green and not black...'cause the olives on my pizza the other day were black?)

what about brown with woodland

or

tan with woodland?

or

ACU with OD vs. ACU with Woodland

or

what if I just wear brown cargo pants with a green top?

Should I wear matching tops with bottoms?

does my belt have to match my shoes

do my sock match my pants...or just compliment them

does my undershirt have to be camo or can it be whatever I want

If I don't want to be seen in the forest....should I wear camo or just wrap myself in strips of bark?

Huh? Huh? Brian...what DO I WEAR!?!?!!?

Hah, thread was full of fail but is now win thanks to tys

Assault Pioneer September 17th, 2010 17:31

the best camo combination for you Sniper samantha would be shutup and stop asking the same question....

I mean jesus christ if you lack the mental capacity to imagine these camo combo's in your head than you lack the mental capacity to safely operate an airsoft gun around others.

Google these camo combinations EVERYONE wears them they are very common!

Look at gear and themed threads on here to see these combinations they're all over the place you DONT HAVE TO START NEW THREADS!

Go to other forums to see what people are wearing then picture it on you.

And for fucks sake get off here and just go to a surplus store and TRY THEM OUT! they will have every military colour you can think of instead of just asking ATLEAST keep it all in the same thread you are getting annoying fast

Brian McIlmoyle September 17th, 2010 17:31

answer is easy of course-- MULTICAM from skin out.. all the cool kids are doing it!

Extra bonus points for the Multicam shoulder pads!

+2 to damage
+8 to leadership

Pretty aggressive and unnecessary response. It was an honest question and I think the responses have been a little harsh.

SniperSam, if you think black looks cool with whatever you're wearing - go for it. Whatever you choose I bet you someone has worn something more ridiculous. There are no rules as far as gear is considered as long as your eyes and junk are covered.

There's nothing better than black when you're playing in an abandoned building or any other DARK areas.
It's not as common as the other options, but it's cool to have a black BDU

Black clothing is caused from the absence of color from light reflected from the clothing, the material absorbs color to appear black.
When you stand in a dark corner and are wearing black, you are actually DARKER than the corner, provided that the room isn't painted black. If you move in a dark room, the person can see you as a MOVING ABSENCE OF COLOR. This also applies to outdoors (more so).

Black is used by Police and SWAT for the purpose of looking official and being Police and SWAT.

Darker (Green Side OP) Camouflage such as DPM, Woodland, Cadpat, Marpat etc... Will work better in a darker environment because it breaks up the human form AND doesn't glow in the dark like lighter (Desert OP) camouflage such as Tri Color Desert, Multicam, AOR1, Arid Cadpat etc...

Black tends to stand out, regardless of your environment, unless you are standing still in an area of no light at all. If you move, you will be seen.

If you want to wear black because it looks cool, or you're doing an impression, go for it, but wearing it for outdoors or night ops will get you shot a lot.

I think that's wrong, Dark Green or Navy is the best from what i've heard. (Speaking solid colors)
edit, damnit shouldn't have made noodles before finishing my comment

OT
I think this guy had a honest question but didn't know what it is.

IMO
Get a woodland BDU and black gear, that will look cool with most guns too but you don't have to match perfectly and sometimes a OPFOR loadout feels and looks best.

Eldin September 17th, 2010 19:22

Your getting a sniper rifle, right? Well... unless your CQBing with a TM vsr-10, I don't think black would be a very good choice, if you wanted to be properly camouflaged. But it all really depends on where you're playing, black doesn't blend in or break up your outline very well...

There's a person on my field who wears a black tacvest and black mask over an ACU BDU, you see a moving black blob... It's very intimidating, but not very practical.

SniperSam September 17th, 2010 21:25

Thank you penguin. Jesus christ, i asked 2 different questions in two different threads? OMFG im sorry. And no Assault, im not going to be a sniper soon if or when i play i airsoft, ive opted to try fielding for awhile, see if I like it. Ive always been a sniper, so it was always a handmade ghillie suit with a hydration pack. Ive never worn a vest, or holsters, or needed a dump pouch; so if I'm doing something completely new to me, and I cant seem find a thread that aids my plait, Im sorry for posting in the GEAR section under a different thread since I dont think has to do with ACU.
And Brian, i meant OD as in a lighter green, when i see/hear someone talking about green im thinking the green that the USAF uses. I really dont see why an innocent question has to turn into this. And yes ive gone to army surplus stores, but i dont agree with the look when i put it on

Does someone need a hug? You sound angry. Angry people usually need a hug. And if you have shit to say about family be ready to back it up. Just saying.

there are many threads on different colour scheme's

If you've gone to a surplus store and found it didn't work, asking again is useless, common sense is not so common...

SniperSam September 17th, 2010 22:30

Asking for an informed opinion is, obviously you dont see it that way
