Operation Overlord: WW2 Milsim - June 4th, 2011 - Edmonton, AB

See the website for full details:

http://ww2alberta.ca

This is a D-Day themed WW2 sim, with pyro, explosions, pillboxes, landing craft, bunkers, trenches, and so much more! We will also be inviting the Military Vehicle Preservation Society to participate and set up a display.

Post any interest or questions here.

Boyso January 2nd, 2011 22:51

Why do you live so far? :P

The Landing craft looks amazing btw!

baker_Jeff January 2nd, 2011 22:54

I just checked Westjet, base fare from Quebec City to Edmonton is $219. Start saving! :)

Drunk_Albertan January 3rd, 2011 02:34

And see you in June!

BoGrain January 4th, 2011 14:12

Awesome guys if only Quebec was not that far...

Yankee January 4th, 2011 16:29

Damn it..

If I can hide my thompson in a violon case, and pass throught the airport security, I'll be there! Haha, joking. Nice event, we should do that in Qc.

baker_Jeff January 4th, 2011 18:06

Return flights are less than $600 guys. Start now, and save $120 a month and you're covered.

Jeff

I got my eye on this event. If I am out in Alberta this summer I will make this a MUST on things to do.

It doesn't fit, I've tried. haha.

It looks fun, but there are things in the required and restricted equipment that will hinder my attendance.

airsoftmaniac831 January 24th, 2011 18:35

7) Multiple accounts.
If you have more then one account it will get you banned.

Please familiarize yourself with the rules of ASC, if you were banned, there was a reason.

Andres January 31st, 2011 03:27

I'm going to try my best to get at least two other guys from out here to attend but I had a question:

For eye protection, is it paintball approved or ballistic? I saw ballistic on the site, but some fields require paintball only.

Paintball goggles would be fine as well, it IS at a paintball field I suppose :P.

Really hope you can make it!!

Well I mainly can't come because of work, but the webbing issue poses a little problem. Kraut camo w/Thompson.

baker_Jeff February 16th, 2011 16:01

Well, if you do manage to get the time off, we won't turn you away for trying out a captured allied weapon in combat ;).

esky February 17th, 2011 08:52

haha but do you guys have webbing that would hold my extra magazines and such? What if I was to wear German camo, and use an Allied musette bag or Thompson mag pouch?

baker_Jeff February 17th, 2011 10:48

Honestly, good enough. This is our first WW2 game around here, so we'd rather have people attend than have super strict kit requirements. Next year, they will be more strict. :)

esky February 17th, 2011 11:43

I will most definitely see if I can get a crew of guys to go up there.

I don't think we're going to have them ready in time :(

Don't forget to register for the game on the website if you're attending!
