you got account on Combat2000? or wargameyau?

Kingsix January 20th, 2011 18:58

Nope I found these pics while doing research when I was doing my type 65 loadout.

T@NK January 20th, 2011 19:06

i see, we are currently using type 87 BDU and type 02 airborne combat vest. you ok with that?

Short Round January 20th, 2011 19:18

I just have patches for my loadout :p they are very cool though, authentic I believe

Kingsix January 20th, 2011 19:20

Let's see some loadout pictures wingmantank it's not fair I'm the only one with pictures of my loadout :D

T@NK January 20th, 2011 21:34

Alright, here is 1 pic from 2007, We got 16 members at the peak period. Some of them were international students and left the country already, right now we have 4 core members and we are looking to recruit more fresh hands to our team. We welcome anyone that are interested in Chinese PLA. Our current load outs are type 87 woodland BDU and type 02 airborne combat vest as we cosplay the Chinese PLAF 15TH Airborne Division, we are trying to have all our members equiped with type 97/97B rifle but it is not a must.

BTW, Ignore the two on the right, they are not members of out team.

There have been guys that have wanted to do PLA loadouts or have done them in the base but China didn't have it's own Subforum until today we may see more interested members or new teams because we now have a subforum to organize our topics instead of begin categorized with Opfor/ Other regions, it's only fair Vietnam has their own thread :D

On the Other note the PLA Airborne team is based in the Greater Toronto Area I haven't seen them play as a team but I have seen wingmantank and his Type 97b in action. I remember that one night at CQB outdoor that his gun broke down. I was a combat photographer at the time..

Lipo is slang for Lithium Polymer and it's a type of Lithium battery just like Li-ion. The advantage of Lipo batteries are higher energy density and smaller size they do not suffer from memory effect commonly found on Nicad batteries. They do need a special charger for safe recharging operation.

Trying to "cosplay" these guys, except with a cap and a Type 79/85. Are they wearing type 02 or type 01 vests?

Also, what combat knife do they use?

Edit: Which is more realistic for a modern PLA soldier to have, a TT-33, or a KWA CZ-75? And which one should I buy for my loadout?

Type 54 is a copy of TT-33, I think with some modifications
NZ-75 is a copy of a copy of CZ-75, both look similar except for the trigger guard

T@NK January 21st, 2011 21:16

the vest is using 87 camo, so its a old type, can't really tell its a 01 or 02 as the cape covered some parts of the vest. visually speaking, I think usp .45 is more close to the type 92 pistol than CZ-75. the kwa is making a tt-33 right now, if you wanna cosplay the pre 2000 load out, go with the tt-33 then.

*Sigh* this is really frustrating, trying to get a post 2000 load out, but still trying to stay authentic. Least the PLA still uses the SVD, otherwise I'd be a soldier without a gun.

So in the end, CZ-75, USP .45, or TT-33 are my only choices lol

TT-33 might be more reasonable considering some non-frontlines still carry them

Edit: by any chance you know the difference between 02 and 01?

I've been playing with a helmet for a long time a helmet with no cover will get you shot in the head other than that I haven't noticed any difference between a cap and a helmet. I used to challenge shooters to hit the red star on the cap :D

T@NK January 22nd, 2011 12:06

if u are in toronto and are a member of my team, we will supply the 02 vest, we still have some 02 vest as the team's property, but they are not for sale, they must be return to our supply officer when you leave the team. you won't find any real 06 on the market yet, they are restricted item. as for 01, try ebay.

I would however love to play with wingtankman's team

Cifyra January 23rd, 2011 14:29

For those who've never lived in Hong Kong for a period of time, I'll tell you how Hong Kong people REALLY view the mainland Chinese. Before PRC took control of Hong Kong in 1997, many of them viewed themselves as superior economically, culturally, etc. As a matter of fact, right before England handed Hong Kong over to China, some Hong Kong families emigrated to USA, Canada, England, Taiwan, etc. because they thought China would confiscate all their properties (the red scare). Obviously they were just being ignorant.

Now, in the 21st Century, when China became an economic powerhouse that could rival the world's only superpower, USA, there are more people who support the PRC with all their hearts, than those who still think they are superior. Hong Kong politics is so messed up that there are 10+ parties, all of them are equally powerful. Some wants closer ties to China, some wants more independence, some are left wing, some are right wing. As a result, nothing ever gets done in Hong Kong, just like how Hong Kong's population is divided amongst themselves. But a recent study showed that as time passed, more and more people call themselves 中国人 rather than 香港人.

Although pretty much all Hong Kong people are friendly towards the mainland Chinese, their private views are a bit different. There are rumors that 内地人 are over-achievers, hard working, sly, and would scam you out of your money if they wanted to. Of course, most people know that they are just rumors.

Although I identify myself as a Chinese and support the Communist Party, my parents are still troubled over the Chinese government. They are always like "Oh, they are not democratic," or "Oh, they are corrupt." Obviously, some of them would often confuse the Communist Party under Mao with the Party under Hu Jintao. Lol every time I buy PLA's BDU or combat hats, they always have this disapproving look =/ It doesn't help that they are also Christians, which brings us to our next subject.

With families that are religious, they would view China's lack of freedom of religion an affront to their God/Goddess/Spirits. Even with China's new "don't ask don't tell" policy (Unless you're falun gong, then nobody can help you), to the religious people of Hong Kong, you're either with "insert religion name" or you're the devil incarnate. Since most people from Hong Kong are Buddhists with Christianity in 2nd place growing rapidly, there's often an "us vs. them" mentality.

http://www.omf.org/var/omf/storage/i..._pie_chart.jpg

But at the end of the day, to the westerners, they are still Chinese. You can see it at my school, Hong Kong people and Mainland Chinese stick together at lunch tables while 白人 get their own. Multiculturalism my ass...

So yea, people like me support PRC, other people like my parents support Hong Kong being separate while envying their economy. Since the Hong Kong dollar is pegged to the US dollar (gj, retards...), for once in their life these Hong Kong middle-class families are doing worse than the mainland middle-class. Hence, they'd get jealous lol...

Anyways, none of this would matter once a Hong Kong person gets to know a mainlander on a personal level. Any level headed person would not believe the rumors and

Cifyra January 23rd, 2011 14:33

act accordingly.

Of course, we still make 内地人 jokes just like how New Yorkers make Redneck jokes and such. Not to be taken seriously since we're all Chinese XD

Edit: I'd love to know if this is the same in Taiwan... I know people from Taiwan who despises everything related to the PRC, while others are more level headed.

And yea this should be about load-outs, and I've got a question actually

01 and 02 vests are just better versions of 91 vests right? cause I saw a 91 vest being sold by honesty-honesty. Also, do real soldiers actually wear 07 vests? Cause I've never seen them with it

the so called 07 vests are all prototypes and never been field test so far. some 06 vests have been issued already. the 91 vest looks similar to 01/02, so I won't say they are not related.

Last post before re-railing this thread:

Damn straight, nobody should be judged based on their culture or race. However, we are all guilty of it, don't lie. When we see the word "American", we automatically think 白鬼. When we think of a gangster with a gun, we automatically think 黑鬼. It's not our fault, but the news or shows like COPS really makes us racist subconsciously.

YouTube - AVENUE Q - 'Everybody's a Little Racist,' Broadway Cast

And since we're all a little bit racist, sometimes we gotta take it a bit light-heatedly.

Alright, guess I'll skip the 07 vests until they get fielded. I've been looking for actual vests like the Crossdraw vests because I think they look better =P But since all the 06 vests are restricted, I'll just stick with whatever I can get my hands on for now.

Negative, PLA =/= Chinese Armed Police. I was the one who posted that link several months ago. You're not helping... Nice try tho.

Edit: Allow me to clarify so you don't make similar mistakes in the future. All of my questions posed on ASC had been fed through google at least twice in different wording if not more, to no avail due to either lack of sources or the language barrier barring me from Chinese sites. It's quite laughable actually, when supposed "veterans" of ASC take to bait and try to troll me using facts that I already knew. Regarding this, I'm not sure if's a matter of me not being clear in the first place, or the second party not reading my posts properly. Quod erat demonstrandum by many of my conversations with various individuals in not just the China section, but even once in the Newbie Tank.

In any case, I'm not suggesting that you were trying flame me or being patronizing. But merely telling you fact-check your responses next time before you post. T@NK has already once posted in detail the differences between PLA and Chinese Armed Police including their history. As Kingsix once said to me, "Lurk more, post less."

Easy buddy. First off, why the hell would I troll a sub-form that I just asked to be cleaned up by admins? (Who do you think suggested deleting half the useless threads in this subform? yeah that was me).

Secondly I understand the whole CAPF and PLA situation. But the fact that whoever wrote the PLA pages on wikipedia still has not updated their data as of late as IE they consider CAPF to be apart of the PLA. Therefore I doubt some specific facts on wikipedia are completely true.

Honestly I wouldn't doubt that PLA Special Forces use the NR08 for specific missions though, as just like every other special forces around the world, their arsenal of firearms vary depending on the mission at hand. And because of the lack of info about the guns usage by the PLA that just could be a valid point.

Just a word of advice, everyone on here isn't trying to hate on you or anything, its just the fact that you ask so many questions about everything in this forum, and people become annoyed and get the wrong impression about you. However everyone was like that somewhere in their ASC life IE MEEEEEE look at some of my old posts, some people still know me as the noob who couldn't stop asking about P90s and ACU.

All I am saying is that lets try to keep the questions on topic period. Sort out your issues through PMs or somewhere not in the Chinese Sub-Form.

BTW the whole here comes the spoon is a sarcastic joke. Some people also use this http://lmgtfy.com/

To get this thread more active I am quite interested on everyones FULL loadout. By this I mean just not your gear (BDUS, Vests, etc.) but your choice of weaponry aka your airsoft guns you use.

I know Kingsix & T@NK have really been the only two who have posted their entire loadouts up but I'd like to see everyone else's.

Feel free you two to still post up your still anyways, I want to see the new toys and gear you've got as of late

Like Najohn said, use google to find your question on airsoft and stuff related to airsoft it may take a wile but you well eventually find your answer. Most of the time it takes me around 6 google pages to find right the answer.

and btw Nathan i still look at you as a noob

Cifyra March 21st, 2011 03:27

@Najohn

I wasn't saying you were trying to troll me or anything, so lets leave it at that. Other people were, I'm not saying names but it's pretty obvious.

In other news, my PLA boots that I bought are 1. One size too large (not too bad) 2. Uncomfortable (when I bend my feet upwards, the back of the boots clip my heels) 3. Made of fake leather, got scratched, can't repair like leather, now looks ugly...
I'm not crying over a pair of $50 boots, but is there something better that I could wear for a long time, is more comfortable, and matches the PLA boots?
Allow me to re-word that, what do you wear with ur PLA loadouts, and do you have any personal recommendations?

I plan on uploading my load-out in the near future, but right now I just want my AV to pass through so I can buy some guns. Been waiting for 2 weeks, but I'm not in a rush since the RS97 Sniper hasn't been released yet. But if you're really curious, I got the ghillie cape thing in the mail half a month ago. With everything on, I kinda look like this without the helmet, the vest, and the gun. I also have a Type 07 cap, Beret, backpack, and heavy-duty raincoat.

http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...im/ghillie.jpg

I actually like the ghillie-cape thing quite a lot. I can wear it over everything including backpack + vest, and I can easily take it off if the situation calls for it. It breaks up my silhouette from a distance and looks cool if nothing else.

Not like the 07 uniform stated as trainning dress (作训服), these were introduced as combat dress (作战服), looks like the helmet is for paratroopers, the panel at the back of the helm is for support jumpers neck so them won't get injured when the parachute opens . I am just guessing, could be wrong.

Cifyra March 24th, 2011 15:03

I want one lol... All I need now is a vest to complete my loadout and I'm looking for something post 2007, but never hurts to have more combat dresses
Are these available to civvies or like the 06, restricted from sales?

T@NK March 25th, 2011 23:31

A little bit something new of mine.

still missing the radio pouch, holster, double pistol mag pouch, but my supplier declares they are out of stock, so I guess I won't get them in a short period of time and decided to use some RG colour stuff on it. as for the holster I think I am going for SAFARILAND, one of my connections in the PLA told me they have those custom built safariland style holster for type 92 pistol.

I think tank told me that the vest is just the type 2 airborne vest done up in type 07 camo.

T@NK March 26th, 2011 10:49

Similar structure, but the panel is much smaller than the one on 02 vest, also got some molle stripe on it. I am still trying to figure it out what to attach on this panel.

R.O.C. Loadout

Kingsix couldn't get the overall title renamed, but he said to put it here anyways, since it would save on cluttering of threads :P

Be aware my current setup is not accurate of course hehe.

Hopefully I'll be getting my T91 before Operation Rhino and maybe Zombie Game...

http://orbsidia.com/ROC/rocloadout.JPG

Cooney's photo during Udora game lol...
http://orbsidia.com/ROC/2.JPG

I am basically wearing:
- Real Issued BDU's & Helmet Cover
- Real Oakley Pilot Gloves
- Real Asian Fit Desert Locust with Fan :P (I should have went ESS, maybe in the future :P)

T@NK March 28th, 2011 01:16

get a real combat vest, thats gonna make you look better, the Taiwan army is switching to their new digital bdu right now, so shouldn't be too difficult to get the old woodland vest.

kaiu March 28th, 2011 07:18

Haha it's actually been pretty hard to find the main combat vest, apparently the surplus stores don't have them, and G&P did make replicas which are discontinued. The Desert version is being sold for really cheap though... I've asked a few friends to look for me haha since my Chinese isn't the best but yeah...

http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/...or&catid=&cat=

The one I got is the only one I could find in Taiwan ERDC Camo, as everything else seems to be only available in American Woodland too.

Gonna go with those other light vests eventually though for mobility like what this guy is wearing.... (I can get away with OD or Woodland :P)
http://www.orbsidia.com/ROC/t9108.jpg

Or hopefully I can get a cheap delta replica...
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/3933/00021gn1.jpg

Then there is cheap body armour like this I will eventually get since it's around $26 before shipping (but need to get someone to bring it back :D)
http://store.pchome.com.tw/armygo/M00794367.htm
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2435/...4a8f5a9a3a.jpg

I have so far only found one place that sells the new digital bdus in Taiwan, but yeah pricey compared to their regular EDRC :P (I prefer the ERDC look more anyways)
http://www.bbdragon.com.tw/index.php/cPath/92/page/4 (They also sell WWII and PLA Stuff :D)

My other choice was to use the older setups... Just bought my H-Harness, gonna use current pouches for now, have to wait till I get a chance to go back or someone comes back to get some of those pouches or something.

Heads up, those are Oakley SI Assault gloves :P

Chinese kit makes me shudder .... while not an issue for airsoft as much, there's CLEARLY a disregard for their troops wellbeing and survivability :P

Good kits though guys, keep it up!

That AK74 mag looks a bit out of place.
BTW, I'm not sure why there aren't many SKS airsoft rifles being used in PLA-Red Army loadouts, since that's what most soldiers opt for even more so than Type 54 according to what I've read

Look ken even SLCU are doing it. Precision is key ;)

I like china's mentality of looks before performance. That makes them e-lists

T@NK April 4th, 2011 12:47

That is not a 74 mag.

There isn't any SKS airsoft rifle on the market yet. they do have prototype but not in production.

My bad, it just looks like a 74 mag with the brown plastic. I'd love an SKS airsoft rifle, hope it goes into production.

Bakelite mag with a Curve is a AKM mag. AKM mags are backward compatible with 7.62x39mm round. A SKS Type 56 rifle was alot more commonplace in the PLA than the Type 56 assault rifle. Only Officers where armed with type 56 assault rifles. During the First Sino Vietnam war the PLA having donated the vast majority of their Type 56 assault rifles to the Vietnamese only had the Type 56 SKS to armed their troops. Having learned their lesson from the massive in-balance of firepower the PLA started to issue their troops with the Type 63/68 assault rifle and later on the Type 81. Interesting fact the Type 56 assault rifle is considered a Submachinegun in the PLA inventory. Man Tank I can't wait to get the Type 56 Semi automatic carbine looks like a interesting gun.

Not exactly ture, in the Sina-india war, the chinese army had already learned the importance of firepower combination of 56assult and 56semi. Right before the Sina-vietnam war, troops were issue with 8~9 56 assult rifles, 2 56 semi(sks) and 1 support weapon in each squad (11 men). 56 semi(sks) were mainly used as long range suppression weapon in Sina-vietnam war.

the photo of my previous post was a prototype of SKS AEG.

also, for morden PLA loadout, you can do this:
