Anyone ordered a airsoft gun from the USA before?
Hi, I live in Waterloo, Ontario. Has anyone ordered a airsoft gun through the USA(california) before? I was wondering if the Canadian custom will allow it through? I plan to order it online from Airsplat and have it shipped over. thanks for the help.

That $150 could be better spent on a whackload of JuJubes. That gun, nor anything else awesome looking you will find on US websites, will not come through.

Quick and easy answer, No. Don't waste your cash it'll never make it.

Welcome to ASC
I'd suggest reading up a little especially reading through this http://www.airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21 You CANNOT IMPORT AIRSOFT GUNS we WILL NOT tell you where to get the guns unlees you are age verified If you are 18+ You will be suggested to get "age verified" http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=11473 http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=11474 If not then wait until you are. Read alot post less, and use the search function |

I suggest you read this: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=40318 And in the future its always a good idea to look in the faq before asking a question here on ASC. Ignoring the fact that they have all been asnwered many times before, the best reason is that there is alot of info in the faq's that likely won't be repeated to you unless you ask very specific questions. If you are an adult and you get age verified there are other steps you can take to make it easier to self import airsoft. That being said no one will inform you how to do it unless you are proven to be an adult. Its nothing personal just our community rules. Cheers. Edit: I will now just allow Ritz to be my mouth piece as he has become very good at it. |
I lost count I'll just assume from now on i'm in a eternal state of winning

Perhaps instead of "Canada's Largest Airsoft Community", the ASC title page should be...
Airsoft Canada You Can't Import Guns |
I ordered a couple airsoft guns online once. They all came in without any hassle whatsoever and was shipped in very good time too!
All within the boarder. ASC's retailers rock :) |
I would recomend you to take your 150$, go to a casino, and see if you can win the 400+ needed for a quality airsoft gun.
seriously, you have better chances doing that than getting a gun across the border. |

BTW if you do want a cheap m4 like that with a plastic gear box, head to walmart and pick up the one they have there for $100. it'll last you a season and if you are playing with other people with it you'll be fine.... but any quality gun WIll out range and out shoot you. |

I'd be your local age verifier. |
Hmmm... 2 posts only from hkd2011. Who wants to bet that he emo-raged and left ASC because he didn't get the answer he wanted and just went ahead and ordered it anyway?

@OP please next time search Google if not here about importing guns from the USA |
When thinking of ordering weapons over the border in simplest terms look at it this way. A RS M4 rifle uses a 5.56mm round, an Airsoft M4 uses a 6mm round. Now imagine how close in diameter the barrels are. Now imagine a customs agent unfamiliar with airsoft and sees many packages a day and can't stop everything to check that the barrels are about half a millimeter different in size. That is if he/she takes it out of the box, most likely it will be X-rayed and if it looks like a weapon which amazingly it does *poof* gets tossed aside.
P.S. none of what I said may be accurate but when I first started looking at guns and saw ones from USA here was my first thought "This looks pretty damn real, how the hell would this get cross the border." |

It's still classified as a Prohibited Device, since it is a replica firearm. All replica firearms are prohibited devices for the purposes of importing and can only be imported by holders of BFLs with a prohibited devices provision, although there is another way to legally import airsoft guns. This stuff is in the FAQs.
