Shell Ejecting GBB SR-25 Video

Just found this vid and it seems the SR-25 does have some decent recoil and power.

really cool but still not gamable :p

J2ffr2y August 15th, 2011 07:27

Hmm... true
Would people go for it if there is a CO2 powered GBB SR-25?
Price range will be around 500-700usd

Pinard August 15th, 2011 07:51

from what I see, a lot of people stick to propane gbbr because they are cheaper to feed in gas. Co2 powerlets cost 30-50cents each, a 1lbs propane tank is 4$ ... Their is also people that like Co2 more than propane because the recoil is stronger. BTW if the price is between 500-700USD it will be around 1000-1400 cnd here.

Are you trying to advertise here? Seems like it.

J2ffr2y August 15th, 2011 08:41

Not really, because we are more of a wholesaler.
I'm trying to get some marketing info from our Canadian brothers for our next project.

I've seen some of your stuff in Hong Kong very nice especially the CO2 shell powered version but THERE are RULES and REGULATIONS on this board that you should follow, don't try to circumvent the system here.
ie. If you are a retailer or wholesaler just say so don't pretend you are some one else
enjoy.

your rifle are perfect for CAPS/AIPSC

I'm sorry but why did you try the trickery then?
"Just found this vid and it seems the SR-25 does have some decent recoil and power." Is not the same as "Hi, we are a airsoft gun manufacturer and would like your input on our next project"

J2ffr2y August 15th, 2011 09:58

That's because the shell ejecting SR-25 is a project from a different company and i'm using it to make people start talking about this topic then i can ask question like my 2nd post. Hitting 2 birds with 1 stone, that's my intention.
anyway, i guess i'd better get a proper 'Business' account then.

The SR25 that I saw was in an old airsoft store in Wan Chai, they have a custom proprietory CO2 powered shells (it comes with a green gas shells), the action was very realistic and crisp the only downside to it is the price of the rifle itself I could buy several custom IPSC GBB for the price they charge for one of their rifle. I think if you were to market that here in Canada or the U.S you'll only have a few buyers and you will probably ran into importation issue because of the realistic action. Other than those concern i'll buy one.

I've done enough brass sweeps to know that I don't want to do that after a game.

Brass catcher.

Sure, a bag flopping around covering the ejection port may look fugly, but what else could you do...?

oh, right... just run a standard GBBR.

wildcard August 15th, 2011 16:19

well the purpose of this rifle is to recreate the realism factor, i've seen this both at the shop and firing it at the airsoft IPSC events and they are really impresive but the cost will for sure alienate a lot of players out there with the exception of a few, you could run a standard GBBR but the bad ass realism point can't be compared when you use these rifle

kennysteez August 15th, 2011 16:34

how dose that work are the bb's loaded in the shell prior ? or is it just a box that holds empty shells and when u fire it sends one flying out >?

Ninja_En_Short August 15th, 2011 16:43

Like it a lot but having the brass fly is kind of a deal breaker, I don't want to keep having a brass collecter on my gun.

But if you guys make/bring it in a "brass-less" version in either CO2 (I'd like both actually) or gaz you'd get a lot more success, especially if you used standard WA nozzle (and seriously don't ever go WE!) so people could install an NPAS simply.
Same goes for the mags : yes the 5/10 rounds are low profile but 99% of the pouches I find are meant for the 20 rounds version and honestly I never was in a situation where the mag size was a real pain.

Gato August 15th, 2011 18:40

The ejection of the cartridge iss pathetic, is it supposed to be an AR that's dying of cancer? The bolt movement is RETARTEDLY slow as well. I wouldn't even pay $5 for it

I have seen a revolver similar to this and the shell has the BB loaded in the working end and the cap of the shell takes the propane.

Cool concept, but not cost or reloading effective, plus using it in the tall grass would not be too wise

kennysteez August 15th, 2011 19:08

seems utterly useless to me it sounds like a waste of money and to much work to actually play a round with let alone a game IMHO

bb goes into the shell, shell powered by green gas or CO2......fire away

wurger August 16th, 2011 19:06

Yay, it ejects shells. Is it's effective range still 150-200 feet? If so, fail.

If it's range is 300-400', then I'll take two.

when they clock the CO2 version it was shooting 422-429fps with.25 bb so I think it will reach out.

@ Gato, the ones shown in the video was the green gas version, the one I saw in the store they use the CO2 shells the result was like night and day but the price alone is enough to make anyone without real deep pockets cringe and we are not talking PTW prices here kiddies.

Like I said before the only application that I can see for this type of rifle are CAPS/AIPSC or law enforcement and military training.

Mr. inked August 25th, 2011 17:34

idk about you guys but id hate to have to wait on who ever is using this to reload for the next round.....

anthon August 25th, 2011 19:08

this looks like the ultimate chair-softing gun....

redzaku August 26th, 2011 00:03

I surprise no company ever thought of making a small kit that converts a .223 or .308 shell to use for their guns. It would be a lot easier to buy and pick up (or throw away).

jordan7831 August 26th, 2011 00:30

I actually like that idea of yours redzaku, shame that shell ejecting airsoft guns are so rare and far in between that its super counterproductive to spend the time to RnD such an item. A bit of a catch 22 if you ask me. We could have more shell ejecting airsoft guns if we had a kit like this, but the only way someone will develop a kit is if we have lots of shell ejectors.
