printable english tm m4 instructions?

i just got my TM m4a1 and as its my first aeg i dont really got a clue. is there anywhere i can find a printable instruction/owners/maintenance manual in english?

It's not too difficult.
Charge Battery
Plug in Battery
Load Mag
Shoot
Clean Barrel once in a while..

Like sgt_lynch said, It's not really hard just look at the japanese instructions and kinda go by that.(There's lots of interesting pics in the manual) It took me a few days to get used to my first aeg but you will get to know it. I still remember, when I thought the hopup was the cocking lever on my mp5....ahh the memories of my first aeg.

All the important stuff is subtitled in English anyway, only the fluff is in Japanese only. In my manual anyway.

Unless you didn't get a manual at all. If thats the case, I might be persuaded to scan mine for you. But you'd have to put something to the effect that I'm your greatest hero in your signature or something. (j/k)

i must not have gotten the manual. i got a catalogue and a couple of warning sheets ie:dont aim at face, but nothing that tells me what all the buttons are for. at the next game im sure ill have all my questions answered , but for now i dont know what the t-handle cocking lever does, or the black button on the right side, etc.
drake you are my greatest hero...ever.....i mean it :)

Verthos June 4th, 2005 09:45

well the t-cocking handle releases the dust cove and reveals the hopup within the chamber, and the button on the right side...i presume you mean the mag release button....which does just that, releases the magazine. Hope that helps ^.^,

Steve

tnx verthos, i know about the mag release button that you normally use your index finger for, i was talking about the thumb button; up and back further from that one

SKI June 4th, 2005 10:25

That black button is just for show. It does nothing except move in and out. In real steel, it's the forward assist nob.

ahh..... ty ski

M4 manual can be found here:
http://www.airsoftplayers.com/manuals.asp
Though little of it is in English, the diagrams should do you just fine.
Any particlar questions not addressed by the manual, feel free to search the board for your answers. If you still havent found what you need after searching, go ahead and post and there are many people who can help you out.

yea i found that one, tnx malinak, thats a shop or service manual which i printed off; but i was hoping to find a basic users/instruction manual too.

I put it in a zip file since the PDF wouldn't open properly in browsers for some reason, but seems to open fine in Acrobat Reader 7... go figure.

Thank Canon for making really fast scanners. heh

thanks a lot dude :)

Raymondo June 7th, 2005 03:18

what exactly does a foreward assist knob do anyways?

Does it push the round into the chamber or something?

Drake June 7th, 2005 16:41

On the real firearm, something like that (it pushes the bolt forward to ensure its fully closed/round loaded properly)

On the airsoft, it's just for props.
