Best glock (in terms of replicating the real thing)

Which airsoft glock is the most realistic? So far from what I have read it is either the KSC G19 w/ metal slide or KJW full metal G23. I have an actual glock 19 and would like something that is almost identical, but that i could play with :-)

From what I have gathered:

KSC G19
- Frame feels real since its composite (although my real glock feels very plastic)
- Trigger is very similar to a real glock, stops when the mag is empty.
- Serial number plate looks real
- no trademarks on the frame

KJW G23
- some trademarks on the frame
- trigger not as realistic
- serial number plate weird looking and doubles as a safety
- to me the frame looks (in pictures) more like the real thing

What are your opinions on this issue?

Thanks!

KWA G19. Exactly the same as the KSC except comes with metal slide and frame is more plasticy/real.

I thought the KWA G19 has no trademarks?

Though, a G19 with a different metal slide might get him a more realistic look.

kSC glock 19 + metal slide. KWA doesnt have very many trademarks, i dont think it has any.

even without tradmarks you will see the "Mil Spec...etc.." writing on the right side of the pistol grip.. which is different form the real steel's "Made in Austria..etc."

correct me if i am wrong. but that is how my 3x KSC G19 was and the KWA i had a while back.

oh and to stick on topic.. to me the G19 line is most realistic after getting a metal slide and hogue universal grip =)

The one thing that I like about the KSC vs KWA is that the KWA does not have a realistic glock trigger whereas the KSC does. As for the metal slide for the KSC, which one is the most realistic? so far from what I've seen i think i like the G&G made one best, the one most people get (dark black with white lettering) is not exactly real looking, but the G&G looks pretty darn good.

The KWA G19 available at DEA has trademarks and the realistic trigger.

Rico June 20th, 2005 13:26

KSC glocks also don't have that safety switch in front of the trigger guard(the serial number switch thingie).

ILLusion June 20th, 2005 13:45

that's because the real thing doesn't have it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought airsoft was illegal in New York?

Pretty sure that it it is illegal only in NYC itself, not the whole state.

Yep i own the KWA 19 metal slide there is FULL trades on it. Its pretty much the same as a KSC. I was surpised also, but i think people say KWA has no trades because in the past before my time at least. Someone ordered KWA's that came with no trades.

What people dont know is that in the US trades on some GBBs and AEG are not allow so companys manufacture 2 copies. 1 with trades 1 without (for the US) for the rest of the world they get full trade unless, you ask for them without.

You can find in WA, KSC, and TM guns without trades in the US.

Rico June 20th, 2005 16:26

Whops, should have mentioned that the TM ones (and KJ?) do...I mentioned the KSC for realisms sake.

yah the thing with the KWA pistol grips is that it isnt heavy weight like the KSC glocks i have.

is this true? i believe it is(kwa looks and feels way more plastic). right now KSC glocks are being sold with the upgrades (metal slide, outter barrel, hi-flow valve, recoil spring/rod)

Nocturnal, real Glocks are suppose to feel plasticy

I may not want it to be much heavier.... i mean, the real glock frame is very light. How does the KJW 23 compare to the KSC 19, has any of you tried both side by side?

Also, somewhat unrelated, but when a store sells a gun and states 'tuned for green gas' what exactly does this tuning entail?

Thanks all!

LaZeDoUt^Jr. June 21st, 2005 01:21

Put it this way. Do you want to pick up your glock and feel light cheap plastic or heavy good quality plastic. The KSC isnt even made of normal plastic, its like reinforced abs or something. I think when they say "tuned" for green gas, i thing they mean green gas ready. Which in other words means, its safe to use green gas in this gun.

-_-

I got:

KWA G19 (Bought it in Canada) full trades with trigger safety
KWA G19 (Bought it in the States) no trades, orange tip, no trigger safety.

I find that the lower frame of the American KWA G19 is heavier than the Canadian KWA G19. I don't know why, Aper you ought to try one :-D
