But the description re-iterates it's spring powered, and I'm not sure how a bolt action would be semi or have blowback even if it was gas powered, so I'll dismiss it as being rost in tlansration.

Nope, because they work in the cold (iron sights, bolt action) and they need something 30cal and reliable.

just realized it claims to have "realistic flintlock action"

does that mean it loads really feakin' slow and you have to drop the BBs down the barrel to load it?

The website has their info wrong.That rifle is a Lee Enfield No.7 the No. 4 does NOT have a barrel that extends from the end of the rifle, it is more flush.

The C. No.7 Rifle is a .22" training version of the No.4 Rifle Manufactured at Long Branch

I'd definitely rock one of those, but A guy could get his Pal PAL-R and buy a real version for a wall hanger and still have money left for a case of ammo and gas. lol
