Pricing for a newbie..

Is there a site that lets you compare different websites prices? ie for electronics... www.bbf.ca

I'm not sure if I'm getting the best out of my dollars :)

ap27 April 20th, 2012 02:33

Not really. Get age verified and you may get a better deal off the retailers/classifieds

BennyBoy April 20th, 2012 02:38

i wanted it new, thought it was all used stuff there
thanks for advice

btw: mind giving some sites to check? :)

or know if someone at TorontoAirsoft can AV me too, contacted two but no replies
work work keeps me from driving to the outskirts to get AVed :)

Lucuis April 20th, 2012 03:12

There are retailers here that sell new guns and gear, Age Verified is the ticket. We can give you all the info you need to make informed purchases then.

BennyBoy April 20th, 2012 03:13

thanks, i was reading posts reguarding TorontoAirsoft and it seems like the ones that post here can AV, thanks :)

gonna ask more peeps to AV me, don't feel like going all the way down there to get AVed then not buy anything there, haha slap in the face

ap27 April 20th, 2012 04:31

Unfortunately we can't give out the names of sites/retailers until you have your AV tag. I believe someone at that particular store does do Age Verification. You can check out their stock and get verified at the same time.

Site retailers carry various new guns. On the classifieds you'll find used, like-new (display pieces) as well as brand new (impulse buys).

BennyBoy April 20th, 2012 12:39

got a response from Colin_S so we can probably meet tomorrow
funny that i work one major intersection east of where he lives :)

JonsM4 April 20th, 2012 12:40

Cool story!

If Colin_S doesn't work out (Not that he shouldn't) TTAC3 is like a 4 minute walk from Velocity Arms, Brian M can AV as well.

BennyBoy April 21st, 2012 00:45

he was busy today but said tomorrow will most likely be the day, anyone know what he likes to drink? :)

jamex April 21st, 2012 07:47

I heard he once feasted on the blood of a non-av'd noob but that was probably just gossip. I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

I heard that one to, also heard that if you bring an offering of "wood" you might be spared?

BennyBoy April 21st, 2012 09:25

this...this excites me .... :D

BennyBoy April 22nd, 2012 00:15

so Colin AVed me today but i left with him saying this "it may take anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month"
i said i knew and hopefully he didn't notice me choking back a tear or two..

Jimski April 22nd, 2012 10:13

the number1 activity for any aisofter is to spend money.
And as soon as your kit is ready with everything functionnal and you have nothing more to buy (after 5 or 6 years into it ), internals start breaking and the spending can go on.
wanna get out of airsoft? you need to spend more to make your aegs sell-able so that they appeal to clients.
out of airsoft? just wait a few years till you catch the bug again.
there is no end.

BennyBoy April 22nd, 2012 11:24

i'm so excited! i have a small handful of AEGs i've been eyeballing, just wanted some advice
can't wait! oooo yeah!

BennyBoy April 27th, 2012 01:44

<---- bump!
just noticed classified were appearing for me, buahaha
thanks Colin and other beings at play for this

BennyBoy April 27th, 2012 02:35

i was looking for something i could use for indoor and outdoor so thought a mp5 would work out best...

so anyways, i had my heart set on either;
http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=1732
http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=1312
http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=1311

my questions are;
1. read some reviews that the retractable stocks are kinda shitty when extended...crazy right?
2. retractable stock models prevents you from using large batteries that the fix stock one can hold..
3. are these prices decent? had difficulties finding mp5s at other retailers

it seems the solid stock would be the way to go but i really liked the idea of the retractable stock, any suggestions?

also i saw some nice gbbs but being a noobsofter i don't think i'm ready for one just yet..

PS: open to any suggestions, help a noob out :)
PSS: pain in the butt trying to sort old reviews and new on the interweb :\

Grizzly0679 April 27th, 2012 10:11

Tough call, Benny.

The full stock is the coolest, imo, but the retractable stock gives you some versatility.

As for folding stocks, full stocks, etc... I've read and seen similar reviews. Each company seems to do them differently and some are not that great. Some stocks lock in place well and others not so much.

We're both newbs though so me giving you advice kinda like the blind leading the blind. lol.

get the full stock it's more balanced and you can stuff a large battery in the stock and pretty much play all day or get a extra rear wired box an da spare full stock and swap it when you want, I used my PTW MP5 for both indoors and outdoors.

BennyBoy April 28th, 2012 02:40

I think this stock is removable, am i wrong? if so then i think i got my choice :)
saw a model with a folding stock but you could remove the stock, the wiring for full stock is right there too...

ERR! Looks like it's not removable, sucks!

Actually you CAN give out names of sites/retailers....AV is JUST FOR ASC's sales area...that's it.
