Open Question to the Canadian Player Base
As the North American (and Canadian) player base grows, some companies are taking notice of the potential market (unlike Tokyo Marui). These other companies are interested in what they can develop that the consumer would want to buy, not what they think they could sell limited quantities of, there-by making replacement parts non-existent.
I'm asking several groups and private clubs that I'm a third-party member of this same question and have a week to get several 'Canadian' answers and then report it to an associate who works in the development ... so here goes. If you were to ask, suggest, comment or change one thing to/from/about Maruzen Airguns Japan, what would it be? In a week's time (next Monday afternoon, September the 17th), I will be speaking to my team-mate and delivering him with some ideas. Cheers people. |
Above all else, they need to be aware of the current realities of importing under Canadian Law and produce products which meet those requirements. Otherwise all of what follows is utterly moot.
They also need to look into tapping into larger distribution chains (presumably higher volume therefor lowering costs) rather than going down the "exclusive Canadian dealer" route which usually translates into inflated prices and limited volume. |
I think, more specifically to Maruzen, is the need for slightly tougher guns. It seems that we as a community put our gear pretty well through its paces, and being that Maruzen's guns are generally designed for the Japanese market and with a little more emphasis on collectibility over skirmishability, you don't see a lot of people picking up Maruzens when there are other options available.

Parts for their guns and availability!!! Everything is either discontinued or not found
|
More high end parts
|
Stronger, better built guns and a better availability of parts.
|
Bring back the kg9/tec9 that is all.
|
High quality ABS and STEEL internals
I'd buy the Maruzen M1100 if it could take Propane/CO2 in a heartbeat with steel receiver + barrel + trigger group! I'd pay as much as I would for a real one! Like Bean also said bring back the KG9 and pump out LOTS of magazines And while they're at it! Make a Benelli M4 Semi-Auto Gas Shotgun!!! |

Make the M1/M2 carbine a solid, reliable gamable platform, with available parts, mags, etc.

The aeg market is over-saturated already. They have interesting gas guns. Start from there and improve: gamabilitu, durability and parts availability. Take it one gun at a time and before fludding the market with junk and letting the players find the fixes for your guns a la classic army make sure it works and works good. Then once it's out support it. Also go for the guns that the other compagnies don't make. There seems ti be a growing ww2 crowd and the weapon choice is limited. How about a propane thompson anyone?

ww2 with gbbs and their real caps would make it so much more :)
