Any thoughts?

Looks awesome. I was thinking about getting the KWA but this would be equally awesome. Weird how tokyo marui is cloning a KWA. Usually its the other way around.
I hope its reasonably priced and will be availible in canada.

KSC NEVER clone Marui, they are two distinctive design. It's KJW that's the cloner of Marui

-=ArchAngel=- September 25th, 2012 19:07

From the looks of it, it seems to have a lil more recoil too which would be nice.

Ross September 25th, 2012 19:13

would this be propane ready?

And its WE that clone TM even worse than KJW. Actually, KJW make some half decent clones for the price point.

$333 USD?
Holy smokes. Will people have to buy about $50-100 in upgrades to make it propane/green gas reliable like most of TM's GBBs?

I'm curious to check this out and compare against KSC/KWA's offering.

But honestly though, why they can't work on and release the M&P they've been talking about instead of focusing on something that's already wildly popular on the market is beyond me.

RacingManiac October 5th, 2012 15:07

KSC's MP7 were $400+ when it was new...its not until the TW and KWA/Umarex version that the price came down...

Stealth October 5th, 2012 15:10

So will there be a KJW/WE version that's 2/3 the price?

I'm joking.

But really, I want to see the TM version and a comparison between the 2.
Anybody know if the TM one will have licensed trademarks?

RacingManiac October 5th, 2012 15:52

It is an interesting question, considering Umarex has the traded version locked down in US and EU. But TM is not technically an exported brand....

Matula October 16th, 2012 12:03

I should get one in december if everything is good. Perso I'm not a fan of KSC/KWA and getting a Marui will be the best upgrade. I loved my TM AEP but the battery(trouble)/accuracy wasn't here.

I will give you a feedback in few weeks

Tokyo Marui MP7A1 Gas Blowback GBB PDW - YouTube

Well, now we know why it was able to produce such a hard recoil. It replicates the bolt carrier unlike KSC/KWA. The weight is added to the top, height over bore induce a higher perceive recoil

cjboi November 2nd, 2012 09:03

Wow it's been awhile since I've been here. Hopefully one of you guys can do a review on the TM MP7A1.

Matula November 2nd, 2012 09:13

It is heavier than i expected, so is the kick.
Don't expect gbbr kick but this ain't bad either, a real joy to shoot.
Don't have a chrono, no idea on fps/rof.
Trademarks from h&k on the pistol grip, under the magazine, 4.6mm (not the 6mm crap) and some tokyo marui trades.

Matula November 5th, 2012 08:28

Nice! Lucky boy hehe
If you want to do a mini review, I will be happy to read it!

Not much i can say so far, weather and school are a letdown.
All what i can say is already said.
I fired a 2nd mag and the kick still suprises me for such a little killer.

I try to do a cqb skirm next weekend.
But your own mp7 might be deliverd by than.;)

Tokyo Marui MP7A1 GBB test with Umarex & Angry Gun Silencer - YouTube

New video

Invasian November 7th, 2012 08:48

Check this link:

http://www.popularairsoft.com/news/a...est-tm-mp7-gbb

Says Angry gun will be making a TM version of the silencer!!! :)

Matula November 7th, 2012 08:52

It's so intense to see the difference when they use the silencer. It increase of 25 - 30 fps... the gbb.

Invasian November 7th, 2012 09:11

I am trying to figure out how they do that...lol ;)

It's AWESOME!!!

There's an extended inner barrel going through the silencer.

ILLusion November 7th, 2012 09:33

I'm still not a fan of the add-on extended inner barrel solutions. They didn't work 10 years ago, and they still don't work now. They work as far as adding power, but accuracy suffers negatively.

Invasian November 7th, 2012 09:35

Arrgh...well that just sucks then...

Thanks for bursting my happyness bubble..lol ;)

I would tend to think the same but I read some reviews about a different brand (don't recall the name) and people mostly seemed to agree that accuracy increased, albeit not dramatically. But almost doubled the effective range. According to some, also increases the odds of the occasional flyer and chopper, which makes sense I think.

I'd be curious to see how it perform practically, in-game. Considering an SMG is not meant to be used as DMR, I would tend to think (from those sole reviews) it might be worth a try

What do you think?

I think that the MP7 is designed to be a CQB weapon, so having it shoot 450fps+ with an extended inner barrel is pointless...

.... with that said, I'm still getting a full extended inner barrel for the sake of it, and adjusting power through an NPAS. LOL

Invasian November 7th, 2012 09:49

Always got a solution to everything don't you....lol ;)
