Larue index clips in Canada

I'm looking to buy a set of Larue index clips. Larue won't ship them to Canada. Does anyone know where I can get them? I'd like the real ones, not the knockoffs.
Thanks

Brownells.

bug519 November 9th, 2012 12:00

thpethalK November 9th, 2012 12:53

SKD has them, just checked

bug519 November 9th, 2012 13:13

Nice!

No black ones in stock :(

I suppose i could just paint the DE ones...

L473ncy November 9th, 2012 13:24

Does anyone know where to get the tri coloured set of index clips (red, white, blue)? Or anyone have any for sale I just want the red and white ones you can keep the blue ones.

thpethalK November 9th, 2012 13:24

Where did you see that you can't order them straight from LaRue? I just placed an order for the camo set and a Dillo tool.

Beware, LaRue likes to ship via UPS

bug519 November 9th, 2012 13:35

I placed an order, and got an email response:

"Order comment: We received your order submission, however due to ITAR restrictions we are not allowed by the US Government to sell or ship any item(s) manufactured for picatinny applications or that will be used to build an AR outside the CONUS. Due to these restrictions your order has been cancelled, I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Amy Lambert LaRue Tactical"

I ordered the set with the two hand stops. I wonder if that made the difference?

thpethalK November 9th, 2012 13:44

I guess we'll find out if I get a similar response from them...

OM3GA November 9th, 2012 13:53

Trying to order any firearms accessories from the us is going to be hard even if said item isn't listed under ITAR. Ryan from TheAmmoSource over on Canadian Gun Nutz is in the process of trying to bring Larue stuff into the country which will be a first from my knowledge. Other than that the only real choice is acm.

thpethalK November 9th, 2012 14:21

I could care less about the index clips lol. I just threw them in the cart since I was placing an order and have been eyeing them for a while. I really want my Dillo Tool though lol

What the new guy said. ITAR! (Who is this new guy anyway? He's like 100000x smarter than any n00b that has ever come before him. Except for cross-posting to CGN. Shhhhh...).

It's airsoft, buy fake shit for your fake gun. Index clips were just on sale at airsoftpark with free shipping. Injection moulded plastic is injection moulded plastic.

thpethalK November 9th, 2012 15:20

Well this sucks...although I don't recall the rail attachment part being in any of the ITAR literature I've come across so far...

Noveske won't even ship their pint glasses or apparel over the border..... ಠ_ಠ Stupid ITAR (plus those things don't even fall under the ITAR restrictions, but it's probably just easier for them to deal with US only across the board for all of their products).

RacingManiac November 9th, 2012 18:00

There are a few sets up on eBay right now, maybe ask the sellers there?

They don't fall under but let's say their shipper puts the label for you glasses onto a weapon part. Then it gets checked crossing the border and reported to the commerce department. The are screwed seven ways till Sunday.

Since the already have the world's largest captive audience of firearms customers they're got no reason to stick their neck out.

Now who has the rage cartoon with Mark Larue finding out about the ACM clips?

Shh, you didn't see anything, nothing at all. Also thanks, I take that as a compliment. I would have linked directly to The Ammo Source but who knows when and if Larue stuff will be available. Like you said though it doesn't matter, as much as I hate repro kit it really makes no difference and there isn't much else we can do to get them anyways.

mcguyver November 9th, 2012 19:44

Real index clips stay on your rail and won't fall off due to the recoil of shooting or banging your gun into something.

Fake ones pop off from time to time.

There are white ones for sale right now on CGN.

HackD November 9th, 2012 20:11

Two of my guns have the fake ACM Larue index clips - on the virgin install, 99% of the time they stay on. Have to take them off for whatever reason and reinstall again, the percentage goes down considerably. I have heated/softened them up a bit with a bic lighter to accentuate their curve to improve retention, and they've gone right back on with a soft tap from a rubber mallet.

I've banged 'em off trees, fell on 'em.. and AEG's have no recoil to be concerned about. I've lost 2 over the course of this past summer on the two guns combined. There is always extra left over in the package once i've done up a rail to satisfaction for spares, and they are cheap enough. Fake Larue clips for a fake gun, good enough for me..

Danke November 9th, 2012 20:24

I must have had the first run. Took six hands to put on but once on the are there for good.

That armadillo tool is must have.

bug519 November 10th, 2012 08:49

Damn...

I've heard the acm ones are pretty crappy, that's why I wanted to purchase the real ones, also support the company, etc.

I know my gun is fake, but it's still of fairly high quality. I'd rather spend the extra $20-$30 and get something of high quality over a POS.

None of that matters though, i guess i'll be ordering from airsoftdepot.

Thanks everyone for the info!
