"working" AN/PVS-14 replica?

http://www.ebairsoft.com/aabb-functi...le-p-6588.html

Hmmmm...... Prolly a really really cheap sensor, looks like it is using active IR IOT see.

R.I.T.Z November 25th, 2012 17:22

tempting to get one at that price, and maybe do some comparisons to the real PVS-14

T@NK November 25th, 2012 17:26

dumping $200 on that kinda crap? talking about NVG, you know $200 will get you nothing .

FULLMETAL November 25th, 2012 17:41

is one of those CHEAP CHEAP systems, like the ones in the modern warfare videogame ones, is just a camera with a little lcd screen u will need IR light to make it work...

-Trooper- November 25th, 2012 17:42

Well if your budget is only $200 I can see why people would get it, but might as well invest in a Yukon NOD instead of that piece of crap.

At least its a step up from the magnifier one some people wear on their head.

Qlong November 25th, 2012 18:35

What will they think of next? Two of these sensors together?

...oh wait

AngelusNex November 25th, 2012 18:50

huh.... I'd like to get one just too see what it's like but I fear it wouldn't even be worth the $200.

c3sk November 25th, 2012 18:55

You're better off putting that $200.00 towards a NV rifle scope, or a really awesome flashlight. :)

GBBR November 25th, 2012 20:39

I feel obligated to show you the money you spent on this thing, as you will never see it again.

That being said, I'm looking forward to the giggles.

oh trust me dude, I spent 2k prep for an epic prank,

MultipleParadox November 26th, 2012 09:40

I have a feeling these are going to be the "exact" same thing as the kid's toy I don't remember the name, was advertised by Toys'R'Us a year or a few ago if I recall. But in a different casing.

From the photos, either the guy who took them can't focus, or the "optic" quality if extraordinarily blurry. Not sure I would dip my money in this, but that's me...

signature and everything. :D

Blackthorne November 26th, 2012 09:45

Its CCD based NV. Just like a video camera. No tube tech.

Drake November 26th, 2012 09:57

Hey if its like the Sony Nightshot you'll be able to use it to look through clothes; try doing that with a real PVS14 :P

Does sneaking into their bedroom count?

mr_nuts31 November 26th, 2012 11:35

Well at least you're willing to take one for the team.

ccyg8774 November 26th, 2012 14:08

If it is about $100, maybe I will get one just for fun and for the AN/PSV-14 looking. For $200? No.

humm.. i don't know man, how sneaky can you be with those on

all joking aside, these would be useless in a night game where there are players using real PVS-14/15 mono/binoculars. (damn you Chris... DAMN YOU!):p
you would HAVE to use an IR source to see anything, and so would become the brightest object around.
