KJ Works f/m m9 vs TM P226
Hello all, I would like to know which gun is better, and which one to get. I heard many, many times that the M9 is very bad on gas. Which is a downfall for that gun. I haven't heard much about the P226 though. So I haven't heard much good, or bad things on it. On a differnet forum, someone said that they own the P226 and it is very good on gas.
So if you were in my shoes, would you choose the Tokyo Marui P226, or the Kuan Ju Works Full metal M92FS? |
226 all the way. IMO.
|
I have used both GBB's and by far I would take the TM P226 over the KJW FMU M9 any day even if the M9 is metal.
|
I have both (kind of, my KJW isnt fmu, it's metal slide head1950 version) and I prefer the p226 by far but I don't use it much because I prefer propane. When the proper internal upgrades and available and I can upgrade the frame/slide I will definately use more.
|
I run my P226 on propane and so far it's been fine, have had it about 2 months.
|
Thanks guys, all the help is appreciated.

im thinking of buyin kjw m9 elite ia blk since i cant really afford upgrading the p226...even tho i do want the p226 more...specially after i saw illusion's 226 WOW!! all metal...slide and frame.. |
I'd go with the M9. It's metal and can use propane so it wins for me right there. The 226 is very nice but I hate plastic and non-propane.
|
The p226 can use propane.
|
Can't decide? Buy both

Yes, I run my stock TM P226 on propane and it run's fine....
|
TM P226 can use propane from stock, no problem at all.
|
well yes it CAN run stock no problem, as most can.
but it is the opinion of some that the TM internals in the p226 can be damage after extended use on propane because they weren't designed for that amount of pressure. most people assume the slide is the only thing that needs to be strong enough for the propane. this is told to me by a very reputable source who is always fixing guns and takes them apart often (the main guy who does repairs/upgrades in BC). I've used it on propane but I think it's just smarter to do some upgrades instead of taking the risk when there are no parts available. my friends p226 died within the first week (blew an inner seal) and there is no where to order the parts as of now. I understand his could have been and probably was a lemon but now he has a 300$+ paperweight. there are no upgrade parts and stock parts are hard to come by, so until they are more easily acquired I will just use it once and a while. |
of course there's upgrade parts available... although i just sold out on all of them, there are piston heads, recoil springs, hammer springs, floating valves, high flow valves...
Replacement parts are definitely hard to find now. |
Yeah, hopefully the package i received yesterday was just that... my 226 upgrades... all my baby needs now is metal.... all metal.... mouahhahahaha
btw, Stock 226 takes Greengas/propane np. |
Thanks guys, I'm probably going to get the P226. If anyone else has more information on this gun it would be nice. But I'm about 80% sure I'm getting the P226 now.
