The Movie, name the guns game. Play along if you can...

Thought I'd start this game to keep this exciting section active.

How it works: I'll name a movie, you get to name all the various guns that were seen in that movie (add a brief description so we can find out from what scene). The catch is you can't name any gun that was already named by someone else from that movie.

Winner is someone that names an obscure gun or one that everyone else missed.

Please don't change the movie title to confuse everyone. Let me know when you want another one listed.

You up for it? Go!

v82slo August 29th, 2005 10:46

1st Movie: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

Guns I've seen:

- M4 Variant - main Casino sequence
- P90 - used by Ice T
- M60 (?) - Used by Kevin Costner in last battle sequence
- MP5A4 (A5) - Used by SWAT team that kills Costner
- M14 (?) - Used by Casino security staff to shoot at helicopter

...

Come on, there's lots more.

Bob the Angry Potato August 29th, 2005 14:34

Try a different movie, apparently no one else's seen this. I did, but that was years ago...

Red Ryder BB Gun - A Christmas Story

ToRN August 29th, 2005 14:56

I had one of those back in the day.

I think we left it behind when we moved 7 years ago.

Bob the Angry Potato August 29th, 2005 15:02

I saw that in a movie of some sort... a kid's dad was telling him about his childhood, and he wanted the Red Ryder repeating rifle. He started imagining burglars would break into his house and he (while being dressed as a cowboy, for whatever reason) shot them all (who fell in a pile, with dual Xes for eyes)

TheGunShow August 29th, 2005 15:08

Ok, how about the movie Equilibrium?

GMTII August 29th, 2005 15:09

Saving priviat ryan

Thompson
M1 Garand
BAR
Kar98
Mp40
40mm
30 cal
50 cal
mg42
mg34
1911
luger (I'm sure I saw one someware)
flak gun 40mm
m1 carbine
mp44? (dont remember seeing one but im sure there was someware)

Half these guns are seen within the first 15 mins of the movie, the flak gun 40mm is seen at the bridge fight near the end, and the rest are just seen throught out the whole movie.

ToRN August 29th, 2005 15:11

dudes, you're supposed to name the guns in the movie that he tells you, not name the guns from a movie that you have intensively studied to make yourself sound smart :p

Anduril August 29th, 2005 15:33

Equilibrium was a good movie

hmm

modified m9
g36e
m16
uzi
p90
scorpion
mp5a3 i think
and some huge looking shotgun
some japanese katanas

Bob the Angry Potato August 29th, 2005 15:44

Just for the hell of it, try the guns from Dawn of the Dead Remake. It's the last violent movie I saw (and at least remember, seems the guy who started this isn't here...)

Yeah, that was the premise and I don't want to choose movies that everyone's seen and we have a honking list 5 minutes after I posted it.

To allow others to list movies, I will pass the baton onto the next person that can list another gun from the movie I started. You will only get a chance to list another movie if the poster above you passes on the baton to you for giving a good listing. That'll save this from going too fast.

MOVIE IS STILL: 3000 Miles to Graceland

Ahhh, bonus for the person who can name the pistols used for the XCQB (extreme close quarters battle) at the end.

Sekester August 29th, 2005 16:13

Okay Sekester, the baton's to you. Name the next movie.

P.S. Which scene was the G36 in? I remember it briefly but thought I was dreaming.

Sekester August 29th, 2005 16:34

you can see g36k all over the movie but mainly at the end when the rebels take over the city..

Hum lets go for a classic "terminator 2"

v82slo August 29th, 2005 17:08

You couldn't make it tought eh?

Terminator 2: guns

- MP5
- Spas 12 shotgun
- M1887 Shotgun
- Grenade launcher (M79?)
- mini-gun (chain gun/mini vulcan)
- M4/M16 variant w/silencer (Sarah Conner attempt at killing programmer)
- Was that a Glock 19 (police edition) used by T1000 at hospital?

Bob the Angry Potato August 29th, 2005 17:53

Yeah, that was an M79.

v82slo August 29th, 2005 19:40

Boy, this is going real well. :banghead:

I'm glad everyone is following the rule of not posting your own movie. :banghead:

Should I just give this up?

Terminator 2 is the last movie until it's passed off by the owner. You better not hope it's me posting the next movie as I've got a doozie, didn't want to make it easy on you guys by choosing obvious ones.

* And some of you will not know the movies, that should give you incentive to watch them.

MiniMcNabb August 29th, 2005 22:04

No M4A1s in BHD, plenty of Car-15s, M733 commandos and M16A2 carbines though.

Dav

Wiersema January 4th, 2006 19:34

M249 SAW is an obvious one. The guy with with the deaf guy had it. But it had a Canadian C-9 Stock. And you could clearly see they were both using blanks.

sherlockbonez January 4th, 2006 19:40

No one can follow instructions here!

Wiersema January 4th, 2006 19:57

Maybe we just don't, choose too.

Farley911 January 4th, 2006 20:41

when in the underground weapons storage out in the desert there ar a few ak-47's looks like an m60 or m249 john connor picks up a mac10

edit it is an m60 hanging on the wall.

there was a car-15 right? arnold used it to shoot t-1000 in the truck.
the .45 used in the movie (specifically the part where he almost killed the two garage mechanics) was a custom coltonix pistol.
the t-1000 used a beretta m9 in the mall shoot-out.
the shotgun the mexican was using looks like an m870 fullstock but i cant say for certain without reviewing the scene.

Jar|-|ead January 29th, 2006 22:52

the gas grenade launcher that arnold used to take out the swat team...LOL...so JOKES!!!!...

Hedonism Bot January 29th, 2006 23:32

Dude maybe you should have picked a movie that wasnt an obscure piece of junk that 2/3 of the people here never saw and the other 1/3 forgot about.

If people followed your "rules" there would not be a single response to this, is that what you'd prefer?

v82slo January 30th, 2006 01:31

Actually, I could of named an easier movie but everyone has still ignored the rules. Gonna start something new and easier to follow the rules.

Hudabon July 17th, 2006 20:35

This is awful. I liked the guy who started this threads premise, but I must be the one of only a few who understodd what he meant. You answer his question, dont make a post about a movie you love. And Im not saying your wrong, erik james, but I dont remember seeing a mg34 in saving private ryan. The only scenes of german MGs are at the beginning beach landing and then when they capture that german(its steaming on a tripod). Both of those are MG42s.
