Low low cap mags

Who makes those really low cap mags, for m4/m16 that hold 30 bb's? Can't seem to find them. :hammer:

Thanks!

Opea September 26th, 2005 10:16

I THINK I remeber reading somewhere a modification to conventional lowcaps to bring them down to hold like 34 rounds. Which is about 30 rounds after you remove the mag and a few drop out from the well. Forget where I read it though; anybody else come across this?

Nocturnal September 26th, 2005 12:44

yeh you take yout TM locap internal and put a screw in a key spot for it to stop you from putting more than 34 bbs.. then put it back in. basically you are creating a block for the spring.

though.. instead of doing that to a perfectly good mag.. id rather buy a set of Star Lowcaps for milsim use

Is there an equivalent for the AUG? (As cheap and as LOW cap).

Thx

Instead of modifying the lo caps, you could just, load 34 bbs into it instead of the full 68.. just a though.

I think STAR only has M16, AK and MP5 mags out right now.

bobthemonky September 26th, 2005 13:29

i think thay are makeing sig mags to

Polo609 September 26th, 2005 13:47

Thanks guys! But theres nothing in metal?? i think that the pack of 10 is an excellent deal thank you rat for the link...this should fill up my vest nicely hehe :salute:

SEALs September 26th, 2005 14:52

cut your bbs loader to 34 bbs and your set!

Nocturnal September 26th, 2005 16:17

i guess if you are not purchasing a whole bunch of TM's mags, it is cheaper to get the Star mags.

i already have 10x TM m4 locaps, so i dont need to buy myself a set of star mags =)...

Polo609 September 26th, 2005 16:31

whore lol :P jk cant wait for my R5 too man.

RaiNe September 26th, 2005 16:54

Classic Army is also coming out with 30rnd M16/M4 mags. Don't know what kind of material they are using but from the look of the pic it looks metal.

Polo609 September 26th, 2005 17:23

Polo609 September 26th, 2005 17:53

sweeet, how do you like the m16a2? happy with it?

Nocturnal September 26th, 2005 18:01

nah.. it be nice if it didnt have the barrel wobble. =(

it was just something to grab since i had money to blow.. but its up for sale now =)
M733 commando is way better...

dont get me wrong though the TM M16A2 can still perform in the field without any upgrades my friend uses a lightly upgraded M16A2. without hurting his wallet he only has 150% spring, metal bushing, ported piston head and TN inner barrel. thats enough to keep anyone pinned down from far range with hopup set properly.
everything else is just extra.

forgot to add reinforced spring guide :hammer:

Do the STAR mags have any allowance for the three or four rounds that don't feed? It would suck to use "real cap" mags that only give you 26 shots a piece.

9 MP5 mags here (8 G&P mids, 1 TM low). Would get more if I had the real estate on my vest. Drop-leg molle panel will mostly hold a medical pouch, which I've aptly named the "hooly shit!" pouch (and it will be used on a daily basis). :D

Will eventually have to get more. I promised myself no more nylon porn until I get a G36. Armalites are my enemies.

They hold 33-34 from what I understand. Some will lament that loss of a BB, but talk to a bunch of soldiers in hot places, they'll think you're nuts if you want to load up 30 rounds in a 30 round magazine.

Kane September 26th, 2005 22:48

Well, for all those, such as myself, who use autoloaders, that is unrealisticly possible.

Nocturnal September 27th, 2005 09:15

i usually mag change if i've been firing off rounds here and there and don't know how many i have left, just to be on the safe side =)

and yes my current vest cannot even hold the amount of mags I own. so i had to purchase a new rig. and the other vest will just be used for CQB =)
