Tm 1911 meu metal slide efficency

Anyone know the gas consumption of a tm meu or 1911 with a metal body kit?

Kozzie April 20th, 2015 11:36

6.4

Schwap April 20th, 2015 11:52

I should be more specific. By gas consumption I mean how many mag(s) can you get per fill?

scottyfox April 20th, 2015 11:55

For my MEU with Guarder kit, it was half a TM 226 mag for a fill.
Your mileage may vary but TM guns with metal kits are very poor for gas efficiency.

Schwap April 20th, 2015 11:57

That made 0 sense...

BioRage April 20th, 2015 11:58

Don't most people top off anyways after a game? If you can squeeze one, I think that's good enough.

Schwap April 20th, 2015 12:02

I know I'm just basically asking if people can go through an entire mag with a metal slide.

Danke April 20th, 2015 12:07

Sure; if you're good at it.

apilar April 20th, 2015 12:07

Depends on the metal slide set, the parts installed, who installs them, the temperature, the speed at which you shoot. You could have anywhere from 12-40 shots. So yes you CAN go through a whole mag with the proper parts installed correctly.. also ppl are giving you a hard time cuz this is a repeatedly asked question.. I suggest you use the search function since I only know these facts from reading which you are able to do also.

Schwap April 20th, 2015 12:15

So if you are shooting fast like 2 or 3 per second in 65-70 degrees with good parts and installation could it go through an entire mag?

What parts do you recommend?

Danke April 20th, 2015 12:23

We unanimously and magnanimously agree on a full build from Brian.

And yes you can always go used if you can't afford new.

Schwap April 20th, 2015 12:25

Who is this Brian ?

apilar April 20th, 2015 12:28

Here u go.. get age verified.. this exact gun with specs is built for 2400$ and there is video proof of him shooting 40 rounds on a mag fill.. these r the parts:

Tokyo marui 1911a1 base gun
- Dry Lube process (That's right, this gun no longer requires lubing outside of your green gas)
- NOVA kimber warrior kit - RARE (outer barrel has been replaced with an illusion kinetics outer)
- NOVA barrel Bushing
- NOVA slide stop
- NOVA Ambi thumb safety
- NOVA grip safety
- NOVA spring housing
- NOVA magazine release
- Real Steel VZ Frag Grips (tan)
- Illusion kinetics 3-hole adjustable trigger (the trigger pull is very small, ~3-5mm)
- Illusion Kinetics oval hammer set
- Tanio Koba twist barrel
- 9ball piston head
- Airsoft surgeon 1911 nozzle
- guarder 150% hammer and recoil spring
- firefly Recoil Spring Guide with Thrust Bearing for Marui 1911 Series

- A+ Hop Up Rubber
- A-Plus Devil Strike Chamber for Marui GBB
- ILLusion Kinetics Hop Up Chamber
- ILLusion Kinetics Outer Barrel for Marui 5" Straight Barrel, .45 ACP with Chamber Indicator
- Straight 8 daysitters

Schwap April 20th, 2015 12:38

Is there any way to make it cheaper lol? A lot? Also who is Brian?

apilar April 20th, 2015 12:44

Brian = illusion

Just get a kjw

Schwap April 20th, 2015 12:49

Ah ok.
I'm gonna get a tm....
I can afford some stuff, sorry I don't want to drop 2.4k into a pistol... I can get 2 polar starts for that price.

Are are illusions prices for these builds?

apilar April 20th, 2015 12:59

My last words for ya.. I've given you a list of parts used in a 2400$ gun.. you may pick and choose what you use.. you can figure out what parts are necessary since it's not that difficult.. illusion has been absent for awhile with life things.. do some research.. figure out what's good and what's necessary.. if your real question is WHO can fit a slide for you.. or WHO is a gun doc I'm sure others can chip in.. also get age verified.. the classifieds have A LOT to offer.

I hope you have found some answers

Schwap April 20th, 2015 13:01

Ok sweet. Thanks for all the help. I'll do that. It's hard for me to get age verified due to my not living in Canada. I go to Canada all the time for hockey though. I'll probably find someone in the us who can do this build for me.

Schwap April 20th, 2015 13:03

Last thing, are the 40 round mags good options for increased gas efficency?

Schwap April 20th, 2015 14:59

Nvm ok I'm sorry.

Dude, you really made another account to ask the SAME questions?

We already knew who you are, Mr. New York troll.

Danke April 20th, 2015 16:19

Maybe he wants another user title?

localfreerider April 20th, 2015 16:35

Whos mag do I have to finger to get a user title?

to Mr. NewYorker: No way! you come to Canada for hockey? I go to NewYork for all the wonderful people I meet on your lovely public transit system!

Schwap April 20th, 2015 19:12

Had anyone had a hk 45 or m&p 9? Which is better?

GodsLt April 21st, 2015 01:13

KJW for gas efficiency?
Lol no.

KJW's have a crappy piston head, leading to extreme gas consumption.
Your best bet is to get a Hi-Capa (not a 1911) from TM or a KJW, then UPGRADE the piston head. A dyna piston head will help you out. Lube the mags often, and try to shim the mag lips. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube.

Schwap April 21st, 2015 13:40

Is there any way to contact illusion besides this ?

Danke April 21st, 2015 13:59

There's a ritual done in front of a mirror.

We can only discuss it in the restricted area.

BioRage April 21st, 2015 14:05

TM's suck, all about the skeleton arms glocks, best in the market.

+1

It really works!

warplane95 May 2nd, 2015 20:49

I have around 60-70bbs per cartridge of C02 with my Socom Les Baer (KJW M1911)

lol "mags per fill"
On a marui 1911 with a metal slide, the measurement is actually in "fills per mag"

Good luck getting more than 8 shots off. Take a look at the KJ and socom gear mags, there's a reason they only hold 15 rounds instead of 26

Drakker May 3rd, 2015 07:32

The KJ mags hold 26 and are clones of the TM mags... maybe you meant the WE/Socom Gear and KSC/KWA mags...

warplane95 May 4th, 2015 09:09

My socom gear les baer hold 28bbs in the mag.

Drakker May 4th, 2015 10:46

The Les Baer is made by KJW and is one of the exceptions, most other Socom Gear pistols are WE.

Amoki May 5th, 2015 21:15

There is always the Nineball featherweight piston/blow back unit upgrade...

ThunderCactus May 5th, 2015 22:31

Although it does help, reducing the BBU weight by half doesn't make a very big difference over the stock configuration when you've already doubled the weight of the slide =/

MaybeStopCalling May 5th, 2015 23:13

The way I see it, if you run real cap, you'll be okay when it comes to metal upgraded pistols.

I've never had an issue pushing my Glock to 17+1 rounds - nor have I had issues pushing a green gas 1911 to 7+1. Both have metal slides and/or kits installed. There's just not enough gas capacity in a single stack magazine to work with a metal slide on the 1911. If that's a deal killer, the Hi-Capa is a very viable alternative.

Deejay2401 May 17th, 2015 19:50

I've got a couple SG Punisher 1911's, six mags, and they all work decently well. Depending on temperature and how fast I fire (I tend to double tap), I can get a full mag of BBs out with a fill on most of them.

SuperCriollo May 18th, 2015 11:25

That isn't much o a feat, considering that the SG (WE rebrands) only hold 15 reds per mag.
Tuned pistols can get easily a full mag per gas charge, my Nova Bodied 1911 gets 40+ shots per mag consistently xP

Shim your gas routers, that can greatly improve your gas efficiency!
