Integrated rail, low profile sights and new blowback system are the main highlights.

Asian retailers are *supposed* to be getting these this month. :-D

I'll get the WE hi-capa first. Nice piece, but the WE still has it in bang-for-the-buck category.

Eddie November 4th, 2005 14:45

you forgot intergated lanyard, lower profile magazine base, all black no chrome.

Nocturnal November 4th, 2005 15:49

my precious....

Shinjin_MC November 4th, 2005 15:50

also looks like different trigger design, changed mag-release, integrated bottom rail

the original marui 5.1 still is in all black, no chrome on the official marui site, so they might change things around

vondnik November 4th, 2005 15:52

will hte hicap 5.1 mag fit this thing? Man I hate bieng broke....

ILLusion November 4th, 2005 16:30

Very nice. The hammer is a skeleton oval as well - I can't see the integrated lanyard in those pictures.

The slide design is also changed and somewhat similar to Springfield Armory style.

captainafternoon November 4th, 2005 19:04

Damn thats nice...

I hope WE comes out with one too, propane ready, all metal and cheap.

I'm waiting on my two WE HiCapasm, Ver1 and Ver2

Should come next week, can't wait.

Matt_M November 4th, 2005 19:44

it's nice but i still like my 5.1 more

BC_K November 4th, 2005 19:55

Its soooo "Tactical" that it doesnt even have a smeggin threaded outer barrel!

Hardly Tactical in my eyes.

Oz November 4th, 2005 20:17

New rear site as well.

It has a lot of features I like, but I'm not overly fond of the look. Wide framed pistols should be long not compacts. It would look good with a meat masher, but I cant see that being easy with the new frame. The slide would also be the first thing to go on mine, damn thats ugly.. But with the right combination of after market parts, these are going to be amazing.

skaterjoe November 4th, 2005 20:28

the only thing i didnt like about the origenal highcappa was the extended mag. it made the gun feel unbalenced in the holster, at least to me. now that TM has less extended mags, i might just have to pick one up.

captainafternoon November 4th, 2005 20:42

Hrmm, can this extended mag plate be removed sorta like the glock bottom mag plates?

yep

Mysteryfish November 4th, 2005 22:35

That's fucking TIGHT.

Go Marui!

Now make a damned P228.
Oh, and that standard 1911A1.
Oh, and a USP GBB.

Marui makes such good skirmish guns.

Damn right. I'd never waste money on this piece of plastic when those WE's are around. Hopefully WE expands their line up.

Thanatos November 5th, 2005 01:23

is TM not making a full sized USP that is coming out at the same time as the Hicapa 4.3?

Mysteryfish November 5th, 2005 01:57

yea, but apparently it's an AEP :(

I like the little beaver tail on the grip safety. Looks sharp. (literally et. )

Eddie November 5th, 2005 05:16

It does look nice, my scans aren't great due to uploading limits.

yanhchan November 5th, 2005 07:21

Eddie November 5th, 2005 07:52

Syphen November 5th, 2005 10:30

Did anyone else just have a party in their pants when they saw the pics of this gun? me either.. but either way you look at it... im totally getting one.

Droc November 5th, 2005 10:41

My TM Hi-capa 5.1 is the best GBB I have ever used, so the 4.3 is going on my wish list ASAP.

Someone said new blowback system? care to elaborate?

ILLusion November 5th, 2005 13:05

omg. the black screws on the handles. i SO need those.....

I don't know the specifics, but it's supposed to be even more crisp/fast than the 5.1 and the P226.

CanIplayDaddy November 12th, 2005 12:14

was just wondering, there are all black 1911 models, but western arms 1911s usually have silver barrels, hammers and triggers. Is it that most people prefer this instead of full black? even though i know that you can mod them to whatever colour u like ultimately?

i myself prefer the full black though, not sure if im the minority, thats why the 4.3 really appeals to me.. anybody knows the specific release date? cant be too far off, the official TM website already has it.

JoeyJackhammer November 12th, 2005 16:34

WE's are nice, coming with a metal slide and all, but the TM Hi Capa is insanely accurate, consistant and has amazing range. Even if everyone has AEG's, I feel more then confident enough to take my Hi Capa out and it never lets me down. Hell, it even out ranges even the longest TM guns ie: M16

You buy TM now

ILLusion November 15th, 2005 06:27

WGC just got stock on these babies today:

Nocturnal November 15th, 2005 09:13

omgzorz..-_-

argh yet another few hundred spent on airsoft XD... time to get myself a christmas present =)

GiordanoWC November 15th, 2005 13:27

so what's the price gonna be like? 130CDN from WGC, so i'd assume about 200 from any Canadian retailer.

sam0182 November 15th, 2005 13:57

Probably a little bit more than $200.00 ;)

DuffMan November 15th, 2005 16:27

Would the flat based magazine fit in my WE 5.1? I HATE this mag base thing.

ILLusion November 15th, 2005 17:13

The 5.1 is $300 from Tru. WGC has it for $117 which is the same price as the 4.3

So my guess is that the 4.3 will also be $300.

I have a feeling the shorter mag works with the 5.1, but don't take my word on it. The reduced mag base would take out about the 3 BB capacity difference.

Shinjin_MC November 15th, 2005 23:28

oooh
i hope the parts are interchangable
ive been wanting to switch up my thumb safties to a single

Mysteryfish November 16th, 2005 00:58

Why wait? NINE BALL had a single thumb safety for the longest time.

Shinjin_MC November 17th, 2005 10:32

well, price, really
i dont have a crazy longing for it and the ones available right now come out to be quite expensive, especially after shipping

ILLusion November 25th, 2005 14:01

Anyone still interested in putting a meat basher kit on the 4.3?

You'll have to do it on the 5.1... with parts from the 4.3:
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...625#post244625

You'll basically need to toss the lower receiver and swap for the 5.1 receiver.

Mysteryfish November 28th, 2005 03:27

SO - this probably won't get noticed as an add-on to this thread, but I'd rather not get pissed on for starting a new one:

Anybody have the 4.3 yet?

Would anyone care to compare it to the 5.1?

I read "different blowback" setup, and fear that they've just used the old style one, rather than the one they built for the 5.1...

I hope the blowback is as snappy and the cooldown is as non-existant as the 5.1...

Any comments on it so far?

Flat Dog November 29th, 2005 21:09

Mfish...
Mine wil be here in two days...I am thinking of trying propane in it...think this will be a problem?
Fdog

Mysteryfish November 29th, 2005 22:00

after a good while, maybe... I don't know what everyone else will say, but all the west-coasters I've met personally use propane in their TM guns, and without drastic or horrifying results.

I suppose it will shorten the lifespan of the GBB overall, but I guess the general consensus is: The performance boost is worth it.

Plus, TM parts are replaceable, metal slides will eventually come out, and upgraded valves, springs, hammers, etc... will all be available to help the gun withstand higher pressures.

Magix7 December 5th, 2005 18:51

Waiting for mine to come in the mail =) I'll try to answer some of your questions once i get it..

Nocturnal December 5th, 2005 19:04

I've got mine already =)

awesome to shoot. ILLusion is right about the mag holding less BBs.
im no airsoft expert but this gun feels better than the longer 5.1 Hi-Capa.

I've been using propane on the 4.3 about 2 mags worth already. nothing bad happened yet.

- low profile mag release
- low profile mag base
- light/quick blow back (great stability for hi-groupings at close range)
- awesome rate of fire (as fast as your trigger finger can pull)
- balanced weight distribution (slightly heavier at the pistol grip)

Magix7 December 6th, 2005 00:23

Does anyone know if there is a metal slide out for this gun yet?

dadoggy December 6th, 2005 10:22

Magix7 December 6th, 2005 20:41

I've heard that that Hi-Capa 5.1 Mags work with the new 4.3.. I have yet to test this so I don't know how true it is

dead_aim December 7th, 2005 00:55
