Airsofting video in the New Zealand News
http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=Bc-6R7jdyaM
Very very well done news clip, I thought it would be absolutley bullshit but it really does show what the sport is all about. |
Nice find... Semi-only restrictions must change the game-play quite a bit...
|
Good stuff, it shows what this sport is all about. The game they showed looked really fun.
|
yeah nice video.....it would be wicked if there could be like an international comp for team from every country.....
|
Very well done video! Makes me what to start digging trenches at the LZ for next season. Glad to see it's put in the proper context, at least the woman's "Boy will be boys" attitude and the way the players explained everything as it should be told. Assume the "uniform" is a police officer/chief, and he made a couple decent points, but even still, semi only is much better than "airsoft is illegal" mentality we hear of (Australia for example............ yes, I know, people have protested my being wrong before on this, fact is, I'm right. Just ask AussieJim on Airsoft Ottawa, he came up here (yes, literally from Australia!!!) for Op:QuickPass at the Rawdon field back in Sept. Talking to him......... yes, airsoft is indeed fully illegal in all forms, look at the most recent thread posted here showing that half sized AK-47s got siezed because they are realistic looking toys that could hurt someone. Proof enough for the naysayers?)
I'll watch that segment a few more times because it was so well done! Good find Conscript! |
awesome sweet vid, god wens nxt game!
|
nice and representative of the sport...except when the guy demonstrates how it feels to get hit...lol...i only wish...

Great video Conscript, that field had some awesome trenches :)
|
i liked to see airsoft getting some good media its been sometime now. what they said about players staying low is ture, there fake good, letting the player talk about the sport not some random reporter and showing a game so people can see what its about. then showing how it was diffenert from pb in the unobveus ways.
|
Also good was the fact that the official had his opinion about the legality of the sport and the guns used, then the player's response of it being a "knee jerk reaction". Happy it was protrayed on BOTH sides for once, the responsible ones and the legal ones. Legal ones tend to be more opinion than fact, and the players tend to be more responsible due to common sense. Notice it was mentioned their community is pretty close knit and that they "take care in who they show their guns to."
|
Awesome piece, great to see responsible and unbiased reporting for once! Hats off to the Kiwis. :)

I can. In a country where Pu-tin doesnt sound like poutine. Also i imagine him being able to nuke the whole damn planet... |
Gee whiz, I just thought it was a funny avatar. You know, the whole American election campaign thing, "I'm G.W. Bush and I approve this message." :p
|
After re-watching it, the guy says that smgs and full-auto weapons are machine guns....

This is better than the news report for Operation: Lions Claw in Bakersfeild, CA. The players in the US clip seemed too sensitive and came off as a bit annoying, but this report here is just about perfect. I wish I could save the video. But if anyone wants the Op: Lion's Claw report, pm me.
Great find! |
we should distribute this to the newbs of the forum.
|
I already seen it tho... v.v;
|

Sound doesnt work on my computer for the video.
|
ya cool video is that guy just playing at his house. so by the sounds of it airsoft anit to legal in france iam i worng? cool video none the less. wish we had a store like that in ottawa. :kill:
|
Any way to download that video?
|
Music from The Predator was in it.
Just one question, who here, actually ROLLS in airsoft? I thought that shit was only in John Woo movies not in real life. Or maybe they like video games too much. |

It's abrupt, and it's a small target if you're horizontal (diveroll) across a gap between cover. |
Hmm, I guess lol. I couldn't pull that off with my kit though. Picture a gundam trying to do a roll, with all those spikey parts and crap
Neat fun video tho. What was with the two airsoft so-so looking chicks kissing? |
I think that is the retailer house's...but I'm not sure anyway.
The airsoft is legal in france, but we prefer to stay on the dark...because europe is anti-militarist and we are (often) assimilated as militaristic groups... So the population doesn't like us very much... |
Did anyone notice the reporter has no eye protection what so ever
|
That vid was a great find, its refreshing to see a different perspective presented for a change :banghead:

Damn, I want to see! Ah, well, come Summertime I'll be paying a friend to put on a fake beard, halo and toga, and run around dressed like Jesus. |
I gotta see that...
i'de like to get that minigun that was on youtube...the one that like killed the tv times 2. |
I LOVE rolling during airsoft games. Makes me feel all 1337. At that point I'm usually John-Wooing pistols. Hey, I wouldn't do it in real life, but hey it's a ton of fun

Looks like New Zeland beat Canada in stepping up and making a good positive outlook to the media on airsoft.
Now that they done that we can all climb under our rocks again. |
