Erik!
It is good!
Just get a cheap y-strap from militarytour.com a belt and you got yourself a really cool uniform. If you get a gaiter and a boot it will look even more good.

I wish my room would be that big!

I got an Austrian y-strap yesterday from Militarytour
IT look very good, original. The O ring on the "intersection" is not O but a wierd polygon shape with 5 sides. Otherwise it looks like a ww2 one.

Hey, it was 20$! And It worth it.

BC_K February 2nd, 2006 20:59

Erik, do ya need any form or helmet or hat/ect?

Local surplus out here gets all sorts of shit in stock.

tiger-unit February 2nd, 2006 21:01

Erik, I love that gun!

Your uniform is for officers, but if you wanted to go with the most authentic looking East German tunic, it would be thse 2, similiar to the M40 and M36, but for around $20...
THESE ARE EAST GERMAN.

otherwise, the one you have is fairly decent just for show with the MP40.

HI tiger-unit

Militarytour is located in Winnipeg area, and I am in Toronto.
All in all my order was done in 2 1/2 weeks.
I sent a money order to him (registered) and it had to get there, clear and the stuff to get back....
SO the thing was pretty fast compared to the clumsy money order.

I am thinking to send money with Western Union next time.
The person gets the money in 15 mins, thus the shipping will be greatly reduced.

PS: I find the tunics/trousers on militarytour.com very expensive, but they might be super high quality. (im sure they are)

Erik, whats the name of this warehouse, and do you have a phone number for it ?

T.Smith February 3rd, 2006 03:29

If you really want a INCREDIBLY cheap plastic helmet, go look for a Cushman one. They should be scatered about the web.

I beleive Military-Tour sells cheap M-43 Feldmutzes (Feld caps) but they were never worn in combat. Helmets saved lives ;)

I like the look of the german uniforms, and the camo since they invented it. I am gona point out the obvious! you guys have some sweet get up! You gotta like it how we lost the war and now they sell the equipment (original stuff) back to us for what can only be described as Absorbent amounts of money. If my grandfather kept his uniform i can only imagine what the worth would be. He kept a Flag from his headquarters, and hid it well in his stuff after he left Austria when the Russians were going to assasinate him for speaking out against Stalinism.

T.Smith February 3rd, 2006 04:06

Tres expensive...3,000 is the average for a original german uniform. 600 for a repro :)

I dont mean to sound like a dick, but it says IMS Ltd. , 3428 262nd St. , Aldergrove, B. C. Canada V4W 2X2, and does he sell occasionaly to the public?

I like the "weapsons ss field grey and equipment"
Helmet and goodies are cool how ever i dont know how well the cap will fit since i have long hair haha.

Peace!

T.Smith February 3rd, 2006 23:29

Looks ok, but keep in mind that this is props only. I don't see any liner stitching so you may be in for one wooly experience. THe insignia quality is VERY low, so I suggest a replace. The equipment looks favourable, the pouches original, but the helmet needs a paintjob.

The cap is ordered for your headsize, measure appropriately..or get your hair cut like a landser. http://www.dererstezug.com/GermanHaircut.htm :D

Good huntin'

EDIT: Is it me, or is that uniform TURBO grey :S

Looks like you need some high boots to go with that. I saw some in a local militaria store a while back that were genuine WW2 German officer's boots. Unfortunatly, I don't travel that way often and don't know if they still have them. Either way they were expensive, it being a militaria store and not a surplus store. Old stuff only.

Some newer riding boots seem in order.
