MOUT game

Alright, i was listening to the march 24 issue of airsoft radio last night, and one of the guests from mindgame productions was talking about how they planned to rent a mout course, south of jacksonville Florida. Apparently, it cost $6000 american for a day. Also included, was talk of renting a littlebird helicopter to drop players off on a roof of one of the buildings.

I have two questions.

1)Has this ever been done before, mainly up around the vancouver/lower mainland area

2)anyone have anymore info on this?

Lakonian March 27th, 2006 22:14

nope, but something similar was done in 2005 i think... check it out Airsoft - OP:Irene 3 - September 23-25, 2005 - Video #1

veedoor March 27th, 2006 22:36

New about irene, but there was another one, by mindgame productions. not sure if its associated.

Btw: Thanks for the link, i was looking for it last night.

SockMonkey March 28th, 2006 00:17

Irene was intense how is the DVD? is it worth paying for or the vids on the net "good enough"? Also check out Berget 3, they play some bitchin airsoft in sweeden too! As for an actual MOAT event in BC i highly doubt it, for Irene Ret. Col. McKnight had to basicaly pull strings to get them the training area in Fort Knox? any how americans have an easier time of it in terms of airsoft acceptance than we do. I think The Sharpend guys have some sort of FIBUA area to train on but bring your wallet and your stamina they train hard from what Ive heard.

quikstrike March 28th, 2006 00:40

Yeah Irene III I'm pissed I missed that haha.

Would of been INTENSE.

DuffMan March 28th, 2006 00:47

Here's the thing. We don't have MOUT courses that are even a bit comporable to what they have in the States. We'd have to go stateside.

Hey guys. I'm Emilio and I'm with MindGame Productions and came across this post while surfing around the forum.

We have secured the Camp Blanding MOUT Facility in Northern Florida for our Operation Hammerfall game which is going to be held on September 2nd and 3rd.

If you'd like more information or to see pictures of the MOUT facility, visit http://www.mindgame-productions.com/...hammerfall.php.

We're very excited about playing there and were overwhelmed when we got to walk the site. If you get a chance to play at a MOUT facility, I highly suggest you take it. The buildings, layout and overall fun factor are through the roof.

It'd be awesome if some of you guys could make it down for the event. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. My email address is emilio@mindgame-productions.com.

:salute:

Unless you got a whack of rentals its going to be a no go for most here. We cant cross the boarder with our guns. Thanks for the invite tho.

Halloween April 5th, 2006 22:37

I don't know about a whack of rentals, but we will be offering about 10 ICS M4 rental guns for those who have never played but want to try, or in your case, who can't bring their guns across the border.

We'll do what we can to make it possible for anyone to attend.

PTE. Pyle April 5th, 2006 22:44

how much is the costs for this game wow id sure as hell go if i had the cash

Greylocks April 6th, 2006 06:38

Border is a huge problem. But I guess that if you can afford to attend that game, you can afford the trip.

As said, the invite is really nice, but it's like asking the Cuban army over with free cigars. Wont happen.

We may not have MOUT facilities ready built in Canada, but if you Google hard enough, there are plenty of deserted towns, just in Ontario, that might be possible sites.

Then you just have to get permission, insurance (it's not a MOUT site after all, it's got glass and weak floors etc), and organize tranportation and the game.

Not saying it's impossible, but it's NOT a part-time job. Mindgame Productions is a company that does it practically full time from what I understand.

lt_poncho April 6th, 2006 09:41

Even if you did find something that you could host a MOUT game in Canada - would players really attend? They'd start complaining that it was too far/too hard to get to or they were too busy to go on that scheduled day, or it was too expensive because the cost of renting and insuring made it like $80 a person.

Snake Eyes April 6th, 2006 19:41

its a cool idea, would be very interesting.

[Lithium] April 7th, 2006 02:56

one hting the people in the GTA could do, is save up money and try to rent the BUST course which i believe is either in toronto or Meaford

Hades April 7th, 2006 05:07

Op Irene is on youtube.com just do a search for it or airsoft or sumthin. I forget how i found it

Sorry to wade in here again Ponch...but the trip to Quebec is $60-$80 right now, and we're not having all that much trouble filling the roster.

What numbers would be needed for a good MOUT scenario? What did Irene have? Anyone?

Halloween April 11th, 2006 15:28

we're expecting at least 200-250 players for Operation Hammerfall. i'm not sure how many Irene has held but i'm thinking the numbers were up in the 200+ if not the 300+.
