TM Boys guns
The M4 and Mp5 are already out, but does anyone know when the rest of the boys line is coming out?(such as the L85 or Ak)
|
hmm smells like this will be trashed.
Read and you'll discover that the community hates this kind of softair guns that shoots no farther than a guy can spit. save a bit and buy a real airsoft gun |
yeah, and you can legally buy a gun... so yeah just do as ^Hyperion^ said.
|
Whats the point of flaming? The guy just wants to know when the rest come out (I wouldnt mind seeing the new ones either).
Cheers, Alex |
Are we sure that TM's making a Boys L85, not a full sized one? Seems like all the Boys are based on existing TM full sized AEGs. Can't imagine a particularly big market for a Boys L85.
Though at this point, the only reason a full sized TM L85 would be more preferable to Star's would be the lack of need to downgrade to meet 1J restrictions in certain countries. |
The boys guns are really fun… in the hands of boys.
I gave an M4 Boys Version to my 9 year old the Christmas before last - for basement plinking under strict supervision. The kids see Dad’s airsoft stuff and want to emulate. This way he can shoot cans and stuff and he feels like he is playing. We pull it out when his nephews are over for shits and giggles. It works great. As long as everyone is wearing safety glasses, there is no concern of getting hurt in an accident. (180 FPS with 0.12’s) The truth is at 11 he is kind of out growing it… Here's a pic of my son's M4 Boy's. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/gallery...p?imageid=3135 it's pretty cool, but not really for adult play... |
Owner, the boy's line of airsoft rifles is really a waste of time - spin up google and run a seach, I'm sure you will find a plethora (oo, havnt used that word in awhile...) of reviews expousing the lack of "bang for your buck".
They are Marui, so build quality is of course good - however they are not designed for serious gameplay in mind. Prices on full sized AEG's are the lowest they have been in years, so affording a good solid AEG should not be a problem, assuming your 18+. Might I suggest you visit the FAQ section, and enter "airsoft" into Wikipedia, loads of info I'm sure you'll have a good time reading. Good luck! Quote:
With tons of movies flashing G36's (K's mostly...) at the viewer, I would have thought Marui would come out with a boys model of that family. Almost seems like Marui is teasing it's core userbase by giving us a L85 that we won't touch with a 10 foot pole. I suppose time will tell in regards to whether this is a fatal mistake on Marui's part, if STAR has success with their L85 family of AEG's. |

I didn't know they were making a boys P90 and AK beta spetz.
|
The question that came to mind when I first saw that picture was where did they find 2 white kids in Japan?

These things look pretty cool, but unfortunately useless unless you are playing in a small water closet. |
Water in closets?

You've never heard of the term "water closet"? It refers to a sink or toilet. Or in this case a washroom.

i think its pretty cool. what would you rather have an academy l85 or tm boys l85. and last i heard tms l85 will be out late 06 but more likley mid 07. from what i understand, in asia airsoft is big, the kids go and play it like a live arcade, even in america its getting popular (as weve all seen evident in those horrible youtube links) its only in europe and canada that everyone has the 18+ attitude about airsoft that were used to. so theres a big market for it... just not here, but id collect a couple for plinking.

I can just imagine :P |
Boys guns are made to have fun indoors pretty much, between friends, and everyone knows you either are willing to trash it if it breaks, or will have to treat it like a glass vase.

HELPP!!!!
Hello,
Hey people of the Airsofting world, i was wondering if its really worth getting a ''boys'' gun. cause im a 13 year old kid, and well its hard for me to get 500$ and get myself a full size AEG and i was looking on the site, 007 airsoft and i stumbled apon a tokyo marui M4 A1 boys gun and seen the price!! but then i though ''whats the catch'' and seen 180 fps but still for me it would be better than saving 10 years for one gun.. So for me a kid who really likes airsoft and really wants to get into it, ( i heard about airsoft when some friends were playing and played to with one of there guns and i was like WHO FREAKIN COOL ) is it worth getting a boys M4 A1 ?? ( :D dont worry mommy will order :P ) |

Firstly, I highly doubt he has job so saving money might be hard for him. Secondly, 500 days is like 1.5 years, then the next thing people tell him is to wait another 3.5 years until legal age (18yrs old) of purchasing AEG. Doesn't seem like Mik wants to wait 5 years until having some airsoft fun.
As for Mik, here is a nice review of the Boys M4 gun. If you want to have some fun with airsoft, wanting to get a feel of it without waiting for such long time, I'd say go for it. |

Come back in five years. And shbadmintonclub, tough shit for Mike, but airsoft is for those 18+ ONLY. This community does NOT take kindly to minors. Some exceptions can, and do happen, but Mike has made it that it won't likely happen to him anytime soon. When your ball sack drops, come and see us. Everything you've asked, has been answered (check the FAQ's). |

Wow, turns out shbadmintonclub shares all his IP addresses w/ mr "gamer123"
I thought the massive amount of trolling was suspicious, this just confirms it... |
Hmm I think many different place has computers like school, library, and heck I am surfing web from my workplace right now.
|
I'm pretty sure AOL clumps a network of users under a single IP (I forget the reason why), so it is a possibility that shbadmintonclub and gamer123 live near each other and both use AOL.
