steve_187 - where are you?

steve_187

I see that his trader ratings are positive. I encourage people to leave neutral or even negative feedback even if the deal is successful but not satisfactory to you.

For an unknown reason he has failed to send the item I have paid for through the Buy & Sell thread.

It has been over 3 weeks already and I still have not received a PM from him. I paid within the first week of purchase. The first week he failed to provide a tracking number for the package and claim's that he had sent it but it was returned to him and said he would send it out the next day. Since that time, 3 weeks ago, he has not logged on ASC.

I do not think I should have to wait this long and not have an idea where my package is.

Does anyone have the slightest idea where this guy is? Or have any personal contact with him? I'd like to close the book on this deal instead of having to wait longer than I should be.

Let me know through PM if you have any information.

Cheers :salute:

Noc you may want to get a hold of Silent Souljah

Nocturnal May 30th, 2006 10:12

Thanks zeon. will do!

Amazing KG3 June 7th, 2006 14:24

I have dealt with him before with a trade, and he took a whole week to resond, Yes he has good trader ratings, but this seems to be frequent. And no, when you pay, it should be shipped within 48 hours. Hes on my MSN, ill contact him, and se if i can get in touch.

Quaff June 7th, 2006 17:47

It took you a whole week to respond to this thread too.
Were you too busy to check? That was probably Steve's reason for taking a week to respond to you. That is not a fair thing to say. People have lives.

Keyboard June 7th, 2006 18:15

I would also like to know where he is. It has been over 5 months since he has promised numerous members of TSD their funds back for a group order that went sour. I do not know how much he owes everybody else, but he owes me $150.00 USD.

If anybody knows his whereabouts please post here.

Thanks!

Same with me, he owes me just over 3 times more than you.....

Amazing KG3 June 7th, 2006 19:29

yeah, it took me a week cause i was browsing forums that had a thread which had no relivence to me whatsoever, when someone PM's you specifically looking for you its hard to miss that unless your Helen Keller, and youd best God Damn respond when someone sends you a wad a cash, thats bullshit. Yes we have lives, but these people pay you money for their lifes, and if you just dick around, then your wasting mine, Id post a negative thread about him a week ago.

hattrick June 7th, 2006 19:49

you (who i told not to purchace anything from mr.187, and went ahead and did so anyway) are stupid. ('you' know who you are)

The purpose of my post wasnt to "strike up an interest and debate" Nor did i expect anyone except those specified to understand it.

What is the point of this post? Bored? Can't come up with a thread of your own that could potentially spark some interest or a worthwhile debate? Guess not ...

Amazing KG3 June 7th, 2006 20:09

I don't know, who are you talking about? okay, 48 hours might be a bit much if your too busy to get to a post office, its not that hard, but three weeks, plus he owes these guys a lot of money, seems kind of sketchy. Besides we dont want to fall off the subject, he just wants to know where the guy is, not an argument. And if its about someone else, then good call...? :???: And yeah be more specific with your insults, you get people pissed off that shouldnt be, and the person you want not nearly as much as you want. Now im posting stupid comments...

Quaff June 8th, 2006 00:41

All you said was that it took him a week to respond to a trade, I dont think that is unreasonable. All the rest of the examples supplied, yeah I would definitely agree there is a problem.

Amazing KG3 June 8th, 2006 09:53

oh, im sorry, i meant after i paid it took him a week to PM me telling me it wasnt sent. Should have been more specific.

Nocturnal June 9th, 2006 11:35

yeh it was the same with me. he said he would send it the next day after i paid within the first week. 1 week later he pm's saying that it was sent back to him ? but he didnt even send me a tracking number so i wonder if he even attempted to send it.

seeing how he owes A LOT of people money, this is ridiculous.

so no one has the slightest idea where he is? if he took a vacation ? or if he moved forever?

it shows that he has logged on 1 Week ago. but he neglected to check his messages.

Lisa June 9th, 2006 19:41

Last I heard he was living up near wassaga/barrie.

Nuck June 10th, 2006 18:19

I work directly with Steves cousin.
I could definatly look into it for you all.
PM me or whatever.

buzzard June 10th, 2006 19:25

this guy owes people hundreds of dollars from months ago and he is still selling stuff??? there is something wrong here. people who are repeat offenders or have deals months old that are still unsettled should not be aloud to use the buy/sell forums in my opinion.

if you cant ship the item right away let the buyer know. if weeks have passed and you have gotten no response about why it couldnt be shipped or no response period, then i think that you have reason to leave negative feedback. if the guy responds after, say, 3 weeks and has a damn good reason, then leave another feedback explaining. there are no rules as to how many feedbacks can be left about the same deal are there?

Lisa June 10th, 2006 20:26

Unfortunately no one brought it to my attention until a week ago. I've done everything but ban him. If I were to ban him it would cut off a method of communication with him.

Syphen June 10th, 2006 20:34

I saw steve about a week ago on campus at georgian college in barrie. If I run into him again, I know he is a student there, I will see whats up.

Some of the transactions in question began last year, while Steve was still part of Snow Dragons. Since the deal that went sour was a "in-team" pre-order (with Windsor Airsoft Store I think), we decided to keep it private to give a teammate the benefit of the doubt. The store owner was Steve's friend, which he vouched for. But the guy never delivered on the goods. Of course, it's been awhile and I can't really remember the details - and I wasn't part of that pre-order.

But, it's been more than 6 months and some of the guys still haven't received their money back, nor any communications.

Oh man.... Props Canada part deux!

Dont start with the threats bud...relax

This is the only contact I have had with him. The "threats" he is talking about are the threats I made about taking this to the proper authorities. He has from my understanding almost $1,000 U.S. pending funds of mine and other peoples.

Phalanix August 1st, 2006 12:31

How long has it been? Almost a year? Any updates on your situation?

Nocturnal August 22nd, 2006 13:59

no updates...

Keyboard August 22nd, 2006 14:19

No updates or contact made whatsoever.

Conscript August 22nd, 2006 14:25

I guess you guys are S.O.L.

I talked to him a few weeks back, he said he was moving somewhere, I haven't talked to him since.

Mapcinq August 22nd, 2006 14:26

sounds like a real douche move

Phalanix August 22nd, 2006 15:33

I think it's time for you guys to take things into legal matters. Bring it to the proper authorities.

Keyboard August 22nd, 2006 18:51

Just had contact with Steve, the deal is on it's way to being solved. If anybody remembers way back when HV started this whole ordeal, that issue has to be solved between Steve and him before we can get any of our money.

PM me if you want any more information, I'm not going to post the conversation I had with him.

You guys are suckers. Someone, somewhere has fucked off with all your money. Stop being foolish and get the police involved. Waiting over a year for fuck sakes.

Matt_M August 22nd, 2006 21:58

I agree with Freedom Fighter. You've given this guy a year to pony up, and he doesn't seem too concerned with doing so. Everyone who’s dealt with this guy should take their predicaments to the proper authorities as soon as possible, especially now that he has decided to move.

lt_poncho August 23rd, 2006 14:13

You guys need to look into legal matters asap - first of all the prescription for charging someone for small claims on property is limited to one year I suspect. Secondly if it's greater than $1000...that's no longer small claims court.

Git on it!

Mapcinq August 23rd, 2006 14:16

I wanna see some 1 get sued...

Nuck September 9th, 2006 11:04

Well, apparently Mr.Murphy has a long history of spending a lot of money on "new" things he decides to get into, paintball, airsoft, music etc.

He owed a lot of money even before he started airsoft, and hence, spent all that money on airsoft gear racking up his debt even more.
I asked for his Phone number and/or address, but my contact wouldn't give it up , I explained that you are all respectable people within the community and that no one is going to go to his house and beat him, and that everyone just wanted their money, or at the very very least, a heads up on the situation.

I urge you all to get the authorities involved, I'm sure someone in TSD must have his contact info? Ill keep trying

Last I heard he spent hundreds of dollars on a guitar and equipment, and cant play a single chord.

He scammed you, don't let him get away with it.

aiseirigh September 9th, 2006 11:34

Seriously you guys are a bunch of pussies....if you don't have the balls to go get the damn money he ain't bringing it......O gee he has magically decided to pay up...yah right.....call the police....go visit his college and talk to the dean.

Nuck September 9th, 2006 11:37

talk to the dean, to do what, get him detention?

Kuraitenshi September 9th, 2006 13:15

Have you guys looked into collections? Go to court, apply to have his wages garnished, as he dosen't seem to be the has cash that belongs to him type.

You would be surprised, but, you won't know because your not going to do it anyway.

Nuck September 9th, 2006 19:19

why would I?
He didnt scam me out of anything.
Never met the guy.

DeathSniper September 10th, 2006 00:24

I'm surprised people waited as long as they did...I would give a maximum of one month before I went to authorities...

We had contact info, however he left the team some time ago and the old info from my understanding is out of date.

Nuck September 11th, 2006 17:21

ouch, Ill keep looking into it for you guys, Ill try to catch his cousin when he's drunk or something, maybe he'll let it slip then :-D

does anyone know what kind of vehicle he drives?
Ill seriously drive past every Murphy residence in the Barrie/Innisfil phonebook, if I see the car, I'll have the address, and Canada 411 will have the phone number.

Koopa September 11th, 2006 19:08

steve is a decent guy... he didnt scam us but his friend scammed him and in turn we got fvcked

the actual problem is that steve made a promise that if we didn't get our stuff, we would be fully refunded

edit: i had been refunded but only after constant msn harassment (we we're good airsoft friends prior and things became very sour fast after I asked for my money back) and I had bugged him very early on about this (maybe only a few weeks after it seemed nobody would get anything). What he should have done is helped us in suing the "broker"

It really sucked that things had to turn out like this. Steve was our teammate who trained and played with us but none the less, I hope everyone is fully refunded

Keyboard September 11th, 2006 19:14

Thank you for clearing that up to the people who have nothing to do with this thread Koopa.

aiseirigh and anybody else who hasn't contributed anything significant please stay the fuck out of the thread and do something better with your time.

aiseirigh September 11th, 2006 19:53

I will post my opinion wherever I want sonny.

Koopa September 11th, 2006 20:34

dont you mean sonny bubbles?

Shrike September 11th, 2006 20:39

Good luck why does this happen?

aiseirigh September 11th, 2006 20:47

Sadiztix December 20th, 2006 18:23
