what is it made of? It looks pretty nylon shiny

THE CAT August 7th, 2006 18:05

It's polycanvas nylon double-ply. The cummerbund mesh is HD nylon. It's not shinny at all (Look at the first picture). I use direct lightning with a flash, with close shot. So maybe it look a bit strange.

I just figure out that I was on the wrong section! Goddamit... move that!

Quality vs Phantom made (if it's not made by Phantom)?

THE CAT August 7th, 2006 22:21

IT's not made by Phantom, but to look and feel is the same. Except the fake plate are smoother. The release system handle is in front/bottom. For the rest, it's the same... backpanel adjustments, 8 rows PALS, carrying handle, shoulders pads... And yes, it come with all the pouches you see.

I must add that it goes very well with the MC Sniper Waist pack.

Having a pet cat does not count as "getting pussy." How's the durability of the "polycanvas" material BTW?

THE CAT August 7th, 2006 22:53

It's the alternative to DuPont's costly Cordura. It's tought, at least, compare to a Eagle that will cost twice, if not more. You got a lot of bang for your buck. It will support 12"x10" standard ballistic plate and SAPI armor. The PALS row are MILs spec. Fit perfectly with TT or HSGI pouches.

Nice cat Mr The Cat hehe
Nice vest too.

J'ai hate de voir ca en personne....

THE CAT August 7th, 2006 23:00

Echo this request. Medum Phantom fits me. Would this?

THE CAT August 8th, 2006 09:01

I'm 6'2"/210lbs/44"chest. And, like you see in the pictures, it fit me very well.

Pour les bottes, voir mon site pour ceux qui ne les ont pas vues. Cliquez dans ma signature.

What does the 'A+' signify?

THE CAT August 8th, 2006 09:30

Ah!... It's a french shorty for "À plus..." or "À plus tard...". Meaning "See you later"... or something like that.

How about 6'2 250lbs with a 50" chest?

THE CAT August 8th, 2006 10:10

Well, this vest still have plenty of holes for waist and shoulders adjustments. As for a CIRAS, a medium size go roughtly 6'4"/48"/240lbs. This is what they call "confort" zone... but many guys here, about your size, use a medium.

Everyone knows it's just slang for a manboob A cup.

Pip August 8th, 2006 22:48

haha, man i need to put on some weight then, if thats a medium...:( poor little me..but damn i think i'm falling in love with Multicam...

Gordon August 9th, 2006 00:43

Yeah, really! Size medium shirts have a standard 40" chest, I believe.

THE CAT August 9th, 2006 01:31

Righty-O SINN... But for most french-canadian here, they're not as perverted as you! :)

Gordon, do you refer to a BDU shirt? Not the same as a CIRAS sizing. CIRAS come in 3 flavors, SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE. BDU's goes from X- to XX-L.

Spitfire August 9th, 2006 04:56

@cat: got it from boomarms or where?

THE CAT August 9th, 2006 11:11
