MP5.. A4 or SD5
Hey I have been looking at MP5's and i have yet to come to a conclusion of what gun modle.. I know that I want a Classic Army made one. Full metal seems to be a plus..
|
We cant really chose which gun you want. We dont know how you think. The internals are all the same. Which one looks good to you is what it really comes down to.
|
Im just asking for other peoples opinion. what one is more modable, does the sd5 shoot more accurate. Just some basics I want to know and read from other players with the guns. I know I know look at other forums. Well i have been and there isnt much on just the guns themselves.

Sd5 probably has a longer barrel but in looks I like the A4 better.
|
agreed about the looks, But these are the choices...http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...roducts_id=208 Or...http://www.gamepod.com/product_023.htm

I think the SD5 is superior in every way except length.
Just my opinion. |
Go to a game, get age-verified, and look at the MP5 models when you are there. Then choose.
They are identical internally, as you were told. So pick what you think looks cool. |
agree w/ greylocks on this one. They are pratically identical in performance, so it comes down to your preferance in looks. But dont judge it online, hit up a game and try both out.
Personally, I prefer the A4...the SD just looks weird. |
I prefer the A4 over the SD. Yes they are both the same internally, but You can always easily add and remove a silencer on the A4. That and I think the SD is ugly, but that's just me.
|
I think the barrel length between the two is the same. Not sure CA compared to TM, but the TM comes with a 229mm inner barrel. Just recently I cut and added a 330mm barrel to my SD, sits a couple mm inside the supressor, and go figure, it's more accurate and even knocked my fps up by another 20fps!

yIf your looking for opinions and advice you should take it from black orchid, she helped me out when i was looking for an Mp5, and in my opinion very talented and knowledable on the subject. Yeah and the SD is uglier than a normal one, just the look is all, i have something about integrated silencers.

My MP5 started as an A5 with retractable stock, I added an M4 Slither Stock to it (looks awesome and works great), then bought an entire SD front end and put it on. To me, the A series looks too police, but the SD look more military/SpecOps, which is why I went for the SD front end and have stuck with it for over a year & a half. Still love it, to the point that I sold my A front end last year.

You know what... I wouldn't pick up the Mp5 unless you have a second AEG.
The range on that V2 Gearbox is not that far because the A4 has a short barrel. If anything you might wanna upgrade to a longer barrel + silencer. Also the V2 gearbox isn't as reliable as the V3. So Your best bet for your first AEG be go for the G36C or the AK's. The G36C looks liek a Mp5 on Steriods. Foldable stock making it good for both CQB and Outdoors. |
Thanks for the advice guys! Keep it comming:)

Just go with the one you like on looks. Full metal body is definitely wise choice especially since it's just a bit more pricey, but well worth it. |
hahah im sorry.. I just like reading about the gun to learn more! but i think I will stop by a game or two and make my decision then. I really like the A4 i think is my choice:) And yes I will only get a full metal one!

I have the TM MP5 SD5 and I love it. I like the fact that I could extend my barrel to the tip of the silencer. Added quite a bit of accuracy and 25 fps to the initial velocity. It comes down to what you like the looks of with these two guns as they are identical internally. Keep in mind if you do want a silencer later you can get one and extend your barrel. But if you do extend your barrel the silencer must stay on permanently. Unless you like the fun job of changing barrels all the time. The full stock on both also hides a 2400 9.6V nicely as well.
Have fun and be safe |
haha alright! Thanks for everything guys:)
