QuincyXavier July 2nd, 2008 22:01

I will be working on an allied impression. Not sure if it'll be 1st special forces (hard to do apparently) or american (rangers, 82nd, 101st, or other). Anyone with allied interest, let me know.

BootYourFace July 2nd, 2008 22:57

It'd be aweomse to see a Canadian impression. Thats my next years project anyhow.

Lawdog July 3rd, 2008 08:10

Guys, you really need to do a field trip to Ontario. We are your neighbours you know.

Canadian would be pretty sweet. According to Marway Militaria's website(Winnipeg based), they have Canadian WWII badges and patches, and books about Canadian/British uniforms.

We have a game today and we have 20 guys coming out and 95% will be in WWII Uniforms and gear. We are growing and we hope that the group grows even more. I'm not sure if we will get a full weekend event set-up this year but I'm sure we will next season.

All I need to do now is to drive my DeLorean at 88 miles per hour before I can travel through time and make it to the game today. LOL

It varies on tight we set the uni restrictions. Yesterday, they were fairly tight and we had 20 guys out. When we loosen them we can pull double that or a bit more.

It was a great game yesterday.

The 6th Airborne kit I have will run you about $600 all told, $150 for the Denison, $250 for the BDU, $80 for the boots, $100 for the web kit.

Plus then there's all the addictive other bits & pieces that you just have to have.

The unit was kept at Divisional level for those that might want to do a British or Canadian (1CANPARA) impression. It would be awesome to see some 1CANPARA airsofters out there.

Yorkie.

I'm going for FSSF (Devil's Brigade). A Canadian wearing American uniform, using American guns. I'm awaiting two orders to come in.

Although, it would be pretty sweet to be straight up Canadian with a Lee Enfield (Enfield stock, kar 98 guts, custom make any other needed parts... would that work?)

Strelok July 30th, 2008 23:41

I plan on working up a German kit sometime.

Thumbs up!
Remember to get your mountain trousers :P

QuincyXavier July 31st, 2008 12:31

They're already ordered. Same with the V-42 combat knife that only they used to carry :D

Very nice! I myself and working towards a FSSF impression, but I keep getting side-tract thanks to y'know... everyone not being WW2.

Still need my webbing and that damned knife :(

QuincyXavier July 31st, 2008 19:20

I ordered my knife from Militarytour.com (Manitoban company) and I'm just waiting for them to process my order. My M1937 shirt and trousers, and mountain trousers are already on their way from WhatPriceGlory, and soon I'll put in an order to AtTheFront for everything else.

How many guys in your region do WW2?

bulikiti August 23rd, 2008 00:55

Guys,
I am an "airsofter" from the philippines trying to get a WWII US Paratroop uniform and accessories to match my M1 Thompson and 1911 Pistol. My wife works at a hospital in Edmonton. Could you email me ( rmacasinag@poms.ph ) where i could get them?

MrEvolution August 23rd, 2008 08:37

I think you guys should move to Ontario, or at least sign up on the forums.

QuincyXavier August 25th, 2008 00:37

I'm already signed up there. Waiting for another package to come in. Then I'll post pictures.

Sorry to take my time, but anyway...

Not many if at all, I'm trying to get it started with a friend of mine.

BootYourFace August 6th, 2012 23:18

Necro! Bumping this because there are in fact people still interested in WW2 impressions here in Manitoba! For anyone wanting to hook up with those who do this, try http://www.facebook.com/groups/311389858938057/

We're having a trench digging work day at a local field. http://www.facebook.com/groups/374671589255003/ Is the location we're digging at. Don't know about you guys, but trench digging is way more fun than playing airsoft! Seriously. Come on out and lend a hand, meet some people, and see some WW2 gear that'll be on hand.

need_a_name August 7th, 2012 23:32

Is there any age or dress restriciton for the trench dig?

BootYourFace August 8th, 2012 00:20

To my knowledge no. I plan to bring my nephew along. This isn't a WWII themed trench dig, but rather what I mean was that some WWII players are bringing some gear along in hopes of gaining interest. I'll ask the host if people underage are allowed. It'd be a good idea to bring everything needed for comfrot while digging such as gloves and lots of water. Bring a lunch as well. If you want any further info you can contact me directly. Hope this helps!
